And compare that to this lengthy interview with the original Merton. There's almost a sense that he's bullshitting, but if you look at the structure of his chin vs. Ben Folds, and the consistency of the voice, is there any possibility this is Ben Folds?

Although I also think that they're all Ben Folds. The entire thing has a sense that he's bullshitting. :)
What I think is that he created this alter ego and is now behaving as if they were two different people.
And he's doing a good job!
