Thread: Do You Take Part In Extreme Sports?

Snowboarding isn't extreme.
If it is, then that makes skiing just as much so, and I ski.

I skate. But I ain't no maggot about it.

Did you forget about Parkour?

That's probably the most extreme out of the more underground sports.

By extreme i mean something that gives more of an adrenaline rush that just football or any of the other sports that comes to mind when someone mentions the word. And yes, i do agree that skiing is as extreme as snowboarding 'cause we don't do 3 flips/5 spins in a single jump

Does body surfing or riding a tire tube down kick ass rapids count? Kayaks are for wimps. Actually, the locals in my home town have a long standing feud with the kayakers, who think they own the river. They organize these tournaments or exhibitions, where they set all their gates and tons of people come to watch. Then in the middle of it, my friends and I crash their party on our tire tubes, trying to hit as many of their gates as we can. The crowd watching always gets a good laugh.

Let's just say anything where you can get hurt seriously (not a bruise from baseball or anything, i mean like broken bones and even death ) is what i consider to be an extreme sport. Some exceptions

In that case my river escapades definitely count!

For those of you who don't know, here is the official list of the 42 extreme sports:

Nine air sports: BASE jumping, bungee jumping, gliding, hang gliding, high wire, ski jumping, sky diving, sky surfing, and sky flying.

Eighteen land sports: indoor climbing, adventure racing, aggressive inline skating, BMX, caving, extreme motocross, extreme skiing, freestyle skiing, land and ice yachting, mountain biking, mountain boarding, outdoor climbing, sandboarding, skateboarding, snowboarding, snowmobiling, speed biking, speed skiing, scootering and street luge.

Fifteen water sports: barefoot water skiing, cliff diving, free-diving, jet skiing, open water swimming, powerboat racing, round the world yacht racing, scuba diving, snorkeling, speed sailing, surfing, wakeboarding, whitewater kayaking, windsurfing.

The ones that I do are
Air: bungee jumping, hang gliding, sky diving
Land: caving
Water: jet skiing, scuba diving, snorkling, surfing, wakeboarding

Looks like I'm more of a water and air guy

I was a hell of a skateboarder back in the day. I did contests and stuff. Not anymore though.

Ninja, I'm quite depressed to not see parkour on there, because it is indeed an extreme sport.
