Sorry, I'm not sure where this thread should go.
But the question is, have you ever faked sick to stay home from college, university, school, work, or anything like that?
I've skipped school once with a 'flu', but I missed so much homework I'm never doing it again. :roll:
Many times for many things. School. Dates with a girl. Seeing someone. Haha I use to do that a lot. Especially when random people I am not too fond of come knock on my door, that's when I get some serious viral flu and tell them it's not safe to be here :3
I can definitely say...way more times than I would care to admit. I have the most convincing fake sneeze you'll ever hear and I can magically make it sound like I'm losing my voice when I want to. I've also managed to give myself a fever at times while my temperature was being taken. Power of the mind or broken thermometer...who can say... :chuckle: Though I did actually make myself sick a few times. Like I would fake having a sore throat and pretend to be sick, and then the next day I would actually get strep throat. This was when I was a kid/teenager though. I wouldn't miss class now unless I was seriously sick, way too much work to make up.

I sorta did today, but only sorta. I didn't feel great...but I could've stuck it out. I didn't really miss much. Now-a-days, I try to always MAKE myself go to school, but I guess it's the end of the year...and I'm sick of it! Plus, I just missed a math quiz, really, which is easy to make up. I got some major chemistry homework that is due this week! Seriously, in 3 days, 3 different due days this week, I have 17 whole pages of my 'finals' due (it counts for the final). I figured out that a lot of it in the beginning of the packet was EXACTLY the same as from 1st semester's semester final's packet...
One time in third grade, I was partners with this guy for multiplication. I was so good at multiplication! I guess he liked me for it...Being the little girl I was, I was extremly grossed out by it, and I faked sick for a week. My mom and I had a chat, and I talked myself outta being partners with him!
I did basically the same thing in 7th grade for nearly the same reason...I was so naiive back then.
Elementary school and the beginning of high school. Many, many, many times.
The 6th grade was the worst school year of my life- so many kids were mean to me and I was miserable. I faked being sick DOZENS of times.
Good ol' memories. :D Yes I faked sick quite often when I was in 6 or 7th grade. I had a good variety of reasons. Catching sleep, hard test on that day, had to give homework that day, or just didn't feel like going to school. And I was pretty good at faking it.
Faking sick aside, has anyone of you tried telling your family that you are going to school and then change courses and go somewhere else, enjoying relaxation (or something else...:D) the whole day? And return like nothing happened? Which is typically referred to as a "bunk" or a "ditch". I used to do that once in a while, and it is really refreshing to go to a beach or somewhere and lie down in the cool morning for all day. One warning though, beware of your friends or teachers calling you at home asking why you didn't come to school today. :P
Nah... I actually don't think I ever have. I'm too goody-goody. I've cut once, but that was just because I'd slept in and I didn't want to show up halfway through class.

Well, back when I was immature idiot, I exaggerated my condition, once, to get off school. But, even when I was immature, I don't think I have ever actually faked being sick.
But usually, if I am unwell, I just go to school anyway. I got 5 and a half years of 100% attendance. That time when I exaggerated my condition means that over 6 years (My whole high school time) I have been off for half a day. I'm kinda pissed at myself for doing that now. That would have been great to say that I got 100% attendance over the whole of high school.
I hate it when people skive school. And I hate it even more when they make up stupid excuses. And I hate it even more when people use little things as a way to get off school. (Like, a tiny headache, or something)
I skip out on school about once a month. Everyone needs a little break now and then.

I'm currently faking a permanently injured nerve in my leg, to get out of the mandatory sport that we have in my grade... mwahaha... Nope. Never faked illness. I'd feel guilty, and risk getting caught, which means next time I get ill nobody would believe me...
... in fact, my mother once didn't believe I had the flu. I could barely walk I was so dizzy. I ended up having to go to school, which involved an hour bus ride. I felt so so shit after that, I sat on a sofa all day at school, then endured the long bus ride home and couldn't have been more pissed off. The shit I get from people I don't deserve. Wish my parents would stop having periods of being blind and stupid.
