Uh I remember things in 3rd person, does that count? |
|
I seem to always think in 3rd person, I do not know why. I have done this all my life and don't remember ever thinking in 1st person. |

I have a dream...
Dizko does not think in third person. |

I can think in first person if I stop and try to think of what I would actually see. But yes, whenever I'm imagining myself doing something, it's always in the third person. If somebody were to say, "Imagine yourself looking in the refrigerator," I see from the back or side of my body, holding the door open and looking inside. |

The Emperor Wears No Clothes: The book that everyone needs to read."If the words "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" don't include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn't worth the hemp it was written on."- Terence McKenna
I second what Odd said.... for the most part. If I think about driving or writing I "see" through my own eyes. If I think of my congregation, "I" seem to be entirely absent (ironically enough). |
|
hmm, thats odd, i allways think in first person, and just assumed everyone else does to. |
|
I always think in third person unless I'm trying to see my position (like in a paintball game) from someone else's perspective. |
|
Surrender your flesh. We demand it.
Nope. But I used to dream in 3rd person. |
|
I never think in 3rd person. I've never even had a dream in 3rd person . |

Grasshoppa thinks you may have a mental problem. |

I only think in the third person if I'm trying to imagine myself doing something atheletic, like jumping off a rooftop or something...or if I'm dreaming. But otherwise, it's almost always in first. |

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."
I wish I was like you guys |

When I actively try to remember how I think, then everything I'm getting is in first person. However, when I'm not actively trying to remember, it may be in third person, I guess I'll never know. |

White girl, you can ask her what the dick be like
And monster madness doing drive-bys on a fuckin fixie bike
Fuck it moron, snortin oxycontin, wearin cotton,
Oxymoron like buff faggots playin sissy dykes
Myself, always in first person. Thinking in 3rd person probably means you're more of an auditory thinker, though I could be wrong. |

Saying quantum physics explains cognitive processes is just like saying geology explains jurisprudence.
While the Philosopher generaly thinks in first person (Why would he care about another person? He is The Philosopher after all!), The Philospher generaly speaks in third person. He likes the officiousness of it. While there is really no need for him to underscore his general superiority, it helps others out sometimes. The Philosopher is nothing if not magnanimous and is always looking out for the little people. |

I'm constantly narrating my own life/plans/reasonings in thought, don't know if that counts. |
|
- Are you an idiot?
- No sir, I'm a dreamer.
Always in first-person, always in images, sounds, feelings, very little in words. I only think in words if I'm actually thinking of talking to someone else. |

The Philosopher is a pompous idiot - like that?? |

I always think in 3rd person |

Arg, I used to do that to an extreme, Scatterbrain. Then I started taking meds and it's not so bad lol. |

When I think, I don't really talk to myself, I just know what I'm going to say, so no dialoug goes on...When I remember things, I couldn't tell you what it's like. It's definitely not in 3rd person' nor 1st. I'm just...there I guess. |

Same as above. Another question: what language do you think in? |

I think in English but when I was speaking a lot of Spanish I'd constantly think in Spanish. I even had dreams in Spanish last summer during a grad trip to Mexico. |

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.
