Despite the low price, the 300-MHz Pentium II Wingen, which is Computer City's house brand, is no slouch when it comes to components. The machine comes with 32MB of memory, a large 6.4GB hard drive from Western Digital, a 24X CD-ROM, and a 56-kbps modem, according to Computer City sales representatives.

In 10 years, this (current) stuff will look like a joke.

      Moore's law, anyone?

I do love reading old articles about "current technology" - they're always good for a laugh and a wonder about how the hell the original programmers managed to get EVERYTHING in so little space.

People used to think that the internet was a quickly passing phase - look where it is today.

It seems interesting to me that we integrated photography into micro chips in the first place. Much faster than mechanically assembled ones, and so small.

Makes one wonder what other seemingly crazy method will be used for future microchips. (I've heard IBM is thinking of using carbon nanotubes and DNA connections...)

Signature by Kexo, Avatar by itschemistry (Thanks!)

Sometimes I wonder if anyone has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.
