Smoking Wild Lettuce for Lucid Dreams?

Alright, so I'm about to buy some Mugwort to help with hopefully some lucid dreams or whatever, but I need to buy one more product to be able to get my stuff delivered by mail and I came across this Wild Lettuce. Heres the sites description:
      "Common name: Wild lettuce
      Botanical name: Lactuca Virosa
      Parts used: Ariel parts
This herb provides a smooth opiate-like stone, as well as being a nervous system tonic. It was traditionally used by the native North Americans for lucid dreaming purposes. Some have found it a excellent in their efforts to overcome Cannabis addiction."

So I is considering adding that to my cart so I get get my dang Mugwort already! But I wanna know if any of youse have had any experiences with Wild Lettuce in tea or smoking to help with lucid dreaming.

      'Preciate the responses!

I've never heard of this stuff!! What kind of website makes you order something else, do you have to buy a minimum amount before they will ship it?

I've never heard of this product before. It makes me rather leery, since I do a lot of searching on lucid aids... and I haven't come across this stuff yet.

Hmm... looked on wikipedia, Lactuca virosa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The one thing that bothers me is there doesn't seem to be a list of any side effects. Before ordering this stuff, I would suggest doing more research into how you know it may affect you before taking it. Or find another vitamin site that offers mugwort.

As it is, any time you decide to buy/try a lucid aid you should research into how it may affect you, side effects, whether they cause insomnia, LDS timing (what time of the night to use it), whether it may react with other prescription drugs you might be taking, etc...

Here is the site: Smoking herbs - buy smoking herbs online > Shop on our site|purchase your herbs from our online catalogue
Just this random shop down in Freo, but you have to buy a minium of 25 dollars. I talked to my sister about it and I'm having second thoughts on it all.
Perhaps I'll try some other methods that don't involve me buying anything cause it seems a little dodgy.. I should give natural induced lds a better shot.

Although, there are many LDS's that aren't questionable and quite safe. I do use a couple myself... I use G/C once a week and other times just B6 and melatonin. I'm thinking of adding green tea extract (EGCG) and caffeine shots into the mix though, since you should space out LDS's by 4 days (as in don't take the same LDS twice in a 4 day span).

      Whats G/C?
and I've head people mention B6 quite a few times. But I hate taking pills.. so,
I have tried peanut butter and banana sandwhich before though! That worked well with vividness and recall.
Do you have any reccomendations of good lucid aids. Are the aids and pills you take what has made your LD count so high?

I'm actually new to taking lucid aids My count is just good old-fashioned practice with traditional techniques!

I don't really have any recommendations yet, since I have so little experience in what would be a favourite, yet. But, there's a book written by Thomas Yuschak called "Advanced Lucid Dreaming - The Power of Supplements" which talks about different aids and supplements... different timings and combos, etc.

However, the main one I'm experimenting with is a galantamine/choline combo (G/C).

Some people who practice lucid dream (LD) or out-of-body experience (OBE) use galantamine to increase their odds to achieve LD or OBE.[11][12][13] By taking small amount of galantamine (around 4 to 8 mg) after five to six hours of deep sleep and practice an induction technique such as meditation, MILD or WILD [1] many people report more success with galantamine.[14]

There are also reports that taking galantamine without proper induction technique will not lead to LD or OBE but will result in only a vivid dream instead. It should also be noted that due to a long half life Galantamine will stay in the body for a period of up to and over 48 hours, as such it is advisable to space out the use of Galantamine over a period of three days so that the body does not build a resistance to the drug ruining its effectiveness.[11]

Galantamine used with choline bitartrate or Alpha-GPC can dramatically increase one's odds of becoming lucid and increase memory consolidation during dreaming.[citation needed] Some people report mixing galantamine with other nootropic can enhance the degree of lucidity, but this is still controversial since some mixtures may work for some people, but lead to failure for others.

The thing about L. virosa is that it contains small amounts of hyoscyamine. Hyoscyamine is an anticholinergic closely related to atropine and scopolomine-- both notorious for their ability to block the formation of memory. However, being an anticholinergic, it increases the amount of acetylcholine in your brain, the same neurotransmitter released during REM sleep.

Just in case you care: the active compound in mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is thujone. Thujone can also be found (and in greater quantities!) in wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), which may be more easily available over the internet than A. vulgaris is.

Ah, sweet. I'll look into wormwood. My mums a bit concerned about how, these things can alter brain patterns and whatever, and whether they would be harmful because they can do such a thing.
Thanks for all your suggestions though.

(btwRabbitWhole, has you display picture got something to do with Memory Tapes? I love him! Hes in my city now playing a show but I'm not old enough to see him. suckkyy. :{ )
