      Binaural Beats

      Hey everyone
I was looking throughout the forums, and the internet, and it got a bit hard to find any good spot with FREE binaural beats organized in a practical way with users opinions to go. Where do you guys get binaural beats if you use them? And for those of you who have used them, have you had any success? If so, which binaural beats in specific did you listen to?
It would be nice to have users replying and posting links to files and reviewing them so that later I can create a guide-like topic about binaural beats, user experience, and links for download

DV's official position on them is that they don't work. I recommend trying subliminal messages instead. There is a list at the top of this forum called Audio aids.

really? that's a surprisingly definitive answer. is there a thread/post where this is written? does DV have an official position on Isochronic tones? i realize there are tons of threads on BB's, but most of them are just looking for FREEbies as mentioned above. (try Iso-tones.com - Isochronic Tones for free isochronic tones btw)

entrainment is a definitely a real, tested method of changing one's brainwaves. whether or not these changes are effective for LDing, I do not know. I have never had an LD from binaural beats, but i do find they seem to have an effect on my consciousness. i have a difficult time falling asleep with earbuds in my ears. very uncomfortable business. i have also never had an LD from any of the audio files in the audio section, either pre-sleep or during sleep. some of them are certainly well made, but i have not noticed an effect on LDing or recall from any of them.

i will certainly give them a try again at some other date though...

there are certainly lots of advertisements for binaurals etc on this site... i realize they are google ads, but the discrepancy amuses me.

and for good measure, here is the BB entry in the DV wiki: http://www.dreamviews.com/wiki/Binaural-Beats

Yes, really, and we feel the same way about Isochronic tones. They're good to help relax people, but the same effect can be used with any white noise such as a fan.

Early in the study it became evident that methodological refinements were needed in order todemonstrate any effects of the binaural beats. The analysis of variance of the data revealed that therewere no significant differences in alpha production either within sessions across conditions or acrosssessions. Although alpha production was observed to increase in the binaural-beats condition early insome sessions, a tendency was observed for the subjects to move through alpha into desynchronizedtheta, indicating light sleep. Subjective reports of "dozing off" corroborated these observations. Theseperiods of light sleep -- almost devoid of alpha -- affected the average alpha ratios.
That was taken from EEG and Subjective Correlates of Alpha-Frequency Binaural-Beat Stimulation Combined with Alpha Biofeedback

Really, I've heard binural beats for many other things they seem to work
My friend often gets high using these so im not sure If they dont work because Ive seen that they have but maybe its less effective when using binural beats as a Lucid Dreaming Aid
I have listend to a Lucid Dream Binural Beat before and I noticed it made my dreams much more Vivid
If your intrested google Cracked Verison of I-Doser Torrent I have one that came over 720 Diffrent Beats And most seem to work well
Course the thing about binural beats is that it usually wont work the first time and
That there usually only really effective (besides hard core drugs beats) When Waking up Or whilst falling asleep like your about to attempt a wild but back out half way and then listen to it
But These are usually most effective when taken in under a pre Meditative State(such as Breathing Calmly)
I can Promise You they work its just that they work better under certain Terms

*Shrugs* They work for me. Be sure to check your Pms. I sent you one.
As said, as long as you aren't assuming that simply using them will automatically induce them, I don't see what the big deal is, and I'm getting sick of the snobbery from some posters (Not anyone in this thread mind you) about lucid aids such as these.

They've helped me achieve many lucids, as well as make them much more vivid than normal. I'm actually haven't taken Galantamine in four months because of the many binaurals and isochronics that I use. I'm not saying they are fail proof (And you should make sure you have no history of seizures or irregular brain activity), but I find them to be a useful tool.

I listen to them about every day now, but not always for lucids or astral projections. For rest, mediation, etc. I like them, and I'm thankful that dreamviews introduced me to the technology.
