I think it is a terrable choice for a LD. It may work for some kind of shamanistic meditation on past lives or what not, but the worst I can picture for LDs. LDs happen when your hyper aware, mind warping hallucinagenics are not going to allow any real awareness other than crazy stuff. Just my opinion.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

I mostly agree w/ Sivason. In addition to what he said, the Salvia experience is very short usually from about 10-15 minuets, so it would end before you were in REM sleep. Also, the experiences I've had on Salvia are pretty much the opposite of lucid. When I am in the midst of the Salvia hallucination, I feel that the hallucination is the true reality, and that there is something pulling my soul out of my body, trying to trap me there forever. The nature of the hallucinations is not only intense and completely immersive, but also extremely difficult to control.
That being said, on a salvia forum I use to be one, this one guy said he smoked it right before he went to sleep. Immediately, he fell through a strange tube and encountered some strange beings. He was alseep next to his girlfriend and asked the strange beings if he could enter her dreams. The beings said yes, but there would be a price. He fell through another tube, landed in her dreams and ended up sharing her dreams that night, which she verified without any prompts from him the next morning. After that, he had no dreams for a month.

That is interesting if it is true.
