      Exclamation Remee

Hey guys, i haven't been on here in years but news of a new lucid dream enhancing mask has re-sparked my interest

Ive read about a mask called "Remee" which is in the making and is said to be released in October this year for $95 which smashes the previous "NOVA Dreamer" which was priced between $200 and $500 plus postage depending where u live.

Im just wondering, has anybody got any input about this? It looks easy, comfortable, affordable and reliable. Even configuration looks a cinch!

This is the site i found this mask on: Remee - The REM enhancing lucid dreaming mask

      Looking forward to reply's

Works the eact same and just as effective. However using the remee will probably limit your overall ability to lucid dream. The best to do is practise awareness, rc's etc etc along with the necessary techniques for the remee.

Just like all lucid aids, it's likely to cultivate a dependence and will therefore limit your ability to lucid dream when not wearing it.

However, if your goal is to only lucid dream occasionally (i.e. not wear the mask every night), it might be a tidy purchase.

Ah ok i see what you are saying, but wouldn't it help improve? Like after becoming Lucid from wearing the mask enough wouldn't you end up getting use to the dream world and knowing what it feels like to be lucid etc and it to become more of a 2nd nature?

With all these advances in Lucid technology i dare say there will be a day we don't need to do it ourselves anyways, but then again i am one for being all natural... hmmm...

I really want to say that I want to learn it all natural, however since the dream always try to trick you to believe that you are in the dream even though you try to become aware, it can't hurt to arm up against the dream and give yourself the dreamsign you need. Even though the dream might trick you by saying "Oh a redlight I must have forgot to put my sleep mask on even though I am in school.."
I still think it could work if you already are generally more aware in your dreams. So it's not a device I would recommend for people who just start out, but my awareness in dreams right now should be enough. So I might get one and try it out

.. Unless I master REM-rebound DEILD until then

Well when you really think about it, all a dream mask is doing is giving you a dream sign and if you can work with that and associate it with a reality check then the next step would be to associate something else to reality checks and become Lucid without it, so its not really becoming "dependent" on a dream mask is it? So as i said before, wouldn't a dream mask help to become Lucid more often and help us familiarize ourselves with the dream world? If you do try out a Remee or any dream mask for that matter, please do let me know how you go with it

If I don't master DEILDing until October i'll buy one. The release date is kind of late so. But yeah I think it is worth a shot
And I'll be sure to let you know

Yeah I can see where you're coming from, you're saying perhaps it would work sort of like a pair of training wheels. You're right, it would no doubt familiarise you with the dream world and give you practice at reality checking in dreams. The way in which, in my opinion, it would become a dependency is if you were to use it almost every night, in which case every time you didn't wear it, you wouldn't reality check as there'd be no light to remind you.

It's the same reason they suggest you don't set alarms to remind you to reality check during the day, as in your dream you're unlikely to have access to a clock alarm, and therefore are far less likely to reality check.

Yes exactly! I can see your point of view as well, but then how often would be too often? Shouldn't there be a rough ratio? As in for every Lucid the mask gives you then you have to have 2 natural Lucids sorta thing so like a 1:2 ratio? Or just own discretion on how much is enough sort of thing??

But then on the other hand, wouldn't Lucid dreams whenever the mask is worn not be so bad? I mean like when you think about it, every time you wear it you have a Lucid dream wouldn't be so bad would it?

Your right it wouldn't be bad at all, the fact that you become lucid with bright light would eventually cause you to become lucid everytime you see a light in your dream. In lucid dreaming every single technique is equally effective it just depends on who uses it, give the remee a go and if you don't like move on.

Thanks for the input dutchraptor, you always seem to pop in at the right times haha. And im not very experienced with Lucid dreams as you can see from my sig, but i think thats enough Lucid's to know about awareness in the dream scape and such so i think i may just try this dream mask and really familiarize myself with dreams. Because in my experiences, RC's in my dreams always seem to fail (I try the pinch one and finger through the palm). So if i become Lucid enough with the mask and really force my finger through my palm and what not then i may be able to succeed with this in dreams without the mask when i perform an RC.

Anyways we will see what my view is in october when this mask is ready.

Yeah I'd say rather than a ratio, it'd be whether you use it regularly or eclectically, but as you and dutchraptor have pointed out, it may be absolutely fine regardless. Thinking about it, there are no doubt far more important factors at play, so disregard me skepticism and just go for it

Haha ok thanks for that. When i get one ill still try not to use it every time, just enough to sorta familiarize myself and what not and then see if i can perform a WILD or something because i always get way to excited when something starts happening when i try to WILD and it ruins it, haven't had an LD in a long time so i get all excited about it haha

If you read the Kickstarter, people are getting super frustrated that there are no updates on the device.
