5-HTP, deeper sleep?
I've taken some 5-HTP on occasion now and it's worked on some nights, giving me pretty long dreams.
I went to bed last night at 8 pm and took a few pills two hours before that. I woke up the first time for the night at 3.30 AM. That's not normal for me. Normally I sleep very lightly and wake up several times during the night, usually after just a few hours or within an hour even.
Have anyone else experienced deeper sleep when you've taken 5-HTP?

Last time I dreamed on 5-HTP I felt that I slept more deep than usual. Might be possible it is like that. What I understanded and remember, 5-HTP is/was used as anti-depressive medicin? I know somebody that's very close to me, she takes anti-depressive (tramadol) and gets very tired and sleeping alot.
"Over the years, people have noticed that taking 5-HTP increases dream vividness. This really isn’t so surprising, as lots of research has correlated increased serotonin levels with dream vividness. A classic article comes from the early aughts, when psychiatrist Edward Pace-Schott and his merry crew reported that subjects on SSRIs (serotonin reuptake inhibitors) reported much longer dream reports than normal, as well as more dream bizarreness in the content. Translation note: “dream bizarreness” does not just mean magical fluffy bunnies but also includes nightmarish creatures and unsettling imagery.
The effect is indirect. In the first part of the night, 5-HTP causes a REM suppression while promoting deep sleep. REM suppression leads to REM rebound in the second half the night. Cannabis and alcohol have a similar effect on dreams." ( What are the Effects of 5-HTP on Dreams? | dream studies portal )

Ah true that. Should have done some more research :) Tramadol, that's a painkiller. You sure that's what she's taking? My brother's taking those daily.
