      Sound Induced Lucid Dream

Have you ever listened to music and fallen asleep? You can hear the music in your dream. It's like in the movie Inception.

I made a simple program in python that randomly plays an audio file every 5-60 minutes (I chose Red Red Wine by Bob Marley). When the music plays I do a RC and practice ADA. I figure that if I hear the music in my dream then I'll do a RC.

I usually fall asleep with my laptop next to me so it won't be a problem hearing the music. I suggest NOT using headphones because they usually fall off when you sleep and you won't hear the music.

If you want to try this too I'll work on an application that makes it easy for you.

I tried this a few times, even used the song from inception but the music was always too loud so when it turned on, it would wake me up. But I still think it's a good idea, maybe needs some refinement in my case. I hope it works for you!

When I try this for real, I'll be using this music :

Anyway, your program seems a really interesting initiative! I haven't seen many reports of people trying this, but heard positive results from a few that did. That reminds me an app that I found while researching in this topic, but turns the goal more to dream incubation: Dream on. The idea is making you believe you are in a certain place by incubating a dream due sounds/music, which could be used by lucid dreamers to get lucid through association. Haven't tried it yet due my insomnia but seems worth a shot! The good thing about it that is detects your movement in bed and if you start waking up from the music, it automatically turns the volume down.

Hope your program is giving you many lucids
