Recently I've been playing a 90 min isochronical soundtrack when I go to bed every night. I get the feeling that I do feel asleep faster, or sort of get in a minor trance and that assists me.
However since it's isochronic can you play it through your speakers? And does the bass need to be off or on?
Am I doing this right? Any tips would be appreciated.

Do you mean isochronic tones or binaural beats? Isochronic tones can work through speakers, binaural beats can't
Isochronic sounds can be played to full effect through a single loudspeaker (stereo is irrelevant). They simply generate a repeated sound pattern over and over - e.g. 10 times per second for a 10 Hz alpha-signal. Typically, the signal will have lots of high-frequency content, so the rythmic pattern will come through easily, even with bass turned off. If you can at all hear it, it will work.
