Yoga Pranayama (Breathing Exercises) and Lucid Dreaming

I´ve been practicing Yoga recently and the instructor recommended breathing exercises before going to bed. One of them is alternating nostrils breathing. It is supposed to balance subtle energy channels (for those who believe they exist) producing relaxation and slowing down the thoughts. It can be good for insomnia among other purposes. I suspect that by improving sleep quality in this way one can have more clarity and vividness in their dreams and therefore more easily induced lucid dreams. I would like to know if someone here has some experience in this issue.

I tried another pranayama-based experiment for a week or so: lying on my right side, and breathing exclusively through the left nostril - for 10 minutes or there about. This, allegedly, feeds the "lunar" aspect of the prana and mind, and is supposedly conducive to suppres the physical side, and stimulate the mental side (for a man that is, women have the two nadi's swapped, so they have to lie on the left side, and breathe through the right nostril).

I did not experience any difference from the practice. No lucids arose during that week.
