Hello everyone. Last night I decided I would finally try to use F.lux, a software I had heard about before but never actually tried. It takes a percentage of the blue light wave out of the image displayed on your monitor. I installed it on my Windows computer and also jailbroken iPhone from Cydia, both for free. If you're like me, you probably enjoy using your electronics late at night, when you're supposedly not supposed to because it can be detrimental to your sleep quality. I set both to the incandescent lighting mode.As I used it, I did notice less strain on my eyes. But I wasn't thinking about dreams or anything at all like that. I just did my homework on the computer and went to bed.

After I woke up I realized that I had had a nice, long, vivid lucid dream. This has been the first dream of any kind I have remembered in months. Now although it was very vivid while I was having it, it seems like a blur to me now. And I don't really remember most of the parts. But that's OK because it was such a joy to finally have another lucid dream. I think I was more half lucid at the end because I remember closing my eyes in the dream and beginning to wake up, and being OK with it. But either way it was great. I also woke up feeling a lot better than usual, even only getting less than 7 hours of sleep.

Now I don't really think F.lux is a lucid specific aid, as I believe my lucid dream was just a coincidence. I think that it's more of a sleep and recall aid. Everyone should try this for a few nights if you like to use your computer late at night because I think it really helped my sleep quality and recall. I'll try it again tonight. But in the mean time, here's links to F.lux (or related applications) for different platforms.
