I want to buy EEG machine to track my sleep stages and my brain activity. Something simple capable of measuring deep sleep duration for example. I've looked on ebay, but I have no experience yet, so anyone has please?

I know neurosky, but it can be quite unfomfortable to sleep with. :whyme:
Maybe this is a good place to start looking / asking around for a setup:
Welcome to the OpenEEG project
What about Zeo?
Zeo is out of business so the device can't be used properly as I understand from reading an Amazon review.
Are there any other devices on the market?
OpenEEG SMT from Olimex works out of the box...
Yes, eeg-smt works well. Zeo headbands can still be bought on eBay and the app is still available on the play store for android. Mine still works and I did manage to buy a new headband for it some ago.
Or, build your own from the openeeg info.
But, working out when you are in REM is not quite as easy add it sounds with a simple eeg machine.
A Egg Machine?
I meant EEG* thanks.
So I ordered Zeo Headband after conversation with Goldenspark. It should works well and does the purpose what I need, even the company is out of bussines. We'll see... :ohyahbaby:
Today Zeo sleep manager arrived, I tried it now and it seems to work... I'm looking forward to my first experiment :)
Snap! I also finally received a Zeo last week - still have to work on the FTDI serial cable:
