Mugwort tincture -- fairly wild/bizarre dreams

I took somewhere between 15-20ish drops of mugwort tincture at bedtime yesterday. No trouble falling asleep, no dream recall until late morning, when I recalled a bunch of fairly bizarre and somewhat abstract dreams, which usually I only get very early in the evening, especially the abstract ones (in addition to wacky and more life-like dreams).

In one of them I was following the progress of what appeared to be a small irregularly shaped piece of paper flowing through roads/channels, I was hovering closely above it, and I was trying to follow its path and read its mind, with the ultimate goal of influencing it (I think). I eventually lost it and the scene became cartoon-y and there was something about entering the game. That and "splat cat" were pretty weird. Splat cat was a black cat that was getting thrown (throwing itself?) against a canvas and "splatting" into different shapes, I could only for a split second recognize the form of a cat before it splattied into different patterns on the canvas (all black and pointy, like magnetic particles in a magnetic field).

Have just slept the past 2 nights with a leaf of mugwort inside my pillow, had more vivid than usual dreams and with an extensive storyline to them, as well as getting a lucid last night. Had some weird dream plot where everything that was happening had supposedly already happened so I wanted to make things differently and so I became lucid and convinced some people to go out and do whatever they wanted instead of what they were doing at that moment. I ended up find 2 pieces of some relic, one gold the other a purple stone, that fitted together and was supposed to have some kind of power but a third piece was missing so I just threw the pieces I had away.

Your post just reminded me that I have some tincture lying around. Going to make use of it and report how it goes. =D

Yeah I'm not 100% sure exactly what I took today I've realized . It's either mugwort or wormwood. It was pretty bitter which makes me think perhaps it was wormwood, and it did have the word "absinthii" on it, also pointing towards wormwood. It's hard to tell since I'm not in an English speaking country, and the local word for mugwort is a shortened form of the word for wormwood (basically in the local lingo, wormwood is "bitter mugwort").

But I did not feel so altered as I did when I took wormwood tea. Maybe the tincture is milder, or just the volume involved was different (20 drops of the tincture vs. a full cup of wormwood tea made from 1 tablespoon of chopped wormwood bits).

Might have been wormwood then, I have never tried it as a tea or tincture but know its very bitter by chewing a bit of the leaf. I've had mugwort tea and its not really bitter, I find it a very pleasant taste. when I last remember having mugwort tea the effects I seemed to have was that I felt very sleepy, even after 10 hours of sleep and had more dreams than usual or would remember more dreams than usual. They were very fragmented too.

Had various dreams last night which were very vivid after having mugwort tincture. Got the same sleepy feeling even after having slept longer than I would normally.
