      Lightbulb Hot milk and Honey

Yesterday, I had the most vivid, longest dream. I even managed to get lucid once, but unfortunatly lost lucidity. The dream was also very emoctional, its just like in real life. I did this before going to bed, havn't tried it in a WBTB tho. Well ... Just boil the milk and then add honey into it, its that easy. I'm gonna try it again tonight, even if it is just a placebo, it did a pretty damn job.

Dunno about its powers as a lucid aid, but it sure is tasty.

Mmmm! Honey and warm milk! The warm milk simply satisfies me enough, but the honey is a bonus! I am going to try that tomorrow night, I'm already in bed :3

Placebo or sugar rush keeping your mind awake. OR the b12 in the milk. Try it with just milk.

lol. I'm gonna try this tonight. But I just smoked a tad of weed so probably results will be confounded. But I feel my blood sugar getting low so I think this is a good reason to try.

Ayup, I do that all the time. Works great...sometimes, even better. If you figure out the "butter zone" on your microwave where a certain time yields the perfect temperature, it's infinitely better than boiling the milk, imho.

Well I just luuuuuuuuurv Milk & Honey.
I often mix Milk, Acacia Honey, Cinnamon, vanilla & almond essence in a pot and cook it up into a milky delicious drink.

Never tried it as a pre-bedtime Lucid Aid before though. I bet I should try.

Actually there are studies which show that microwaves reduce the quantity of B vitamins in food by about 30-40%, i cant remember exactly. I can give you details if you don't believe me.

      Yes, study please.
Actually I've had the same concern myself, however I don't think it's the microwave specifically, more heat in general destroys/degrades most vitamins.

That looks like a pretty badly written study. They just start talking about a bacteria not being an effective binder to b12 in the middle of the friggin thing lol
Anyway, that's the only study I can find, the one you posted. That doesn't = evidence. They didn't even have a control, such as a standard oven, to see if it's just the heat that degrades the b12.

I just heat mine to tepid...

Just for the heck of it, here's how microwaves work: the waves cause the water in the milk to vibrate and generate friction between the molecules, producing heat. This is why old spaghetti won't heat up in the microwave very well at all; it has no moisture. I've never heard of a protein/compound denaturing from microwave exposure...it's usually heat, acidity, or some other environmental variable. I say that you're probably pretty safe just using a standard microwave...less cleanup, too.

I didn't know this was a thing I've lately been drinking this tea that has iron because I found out I'm anemic. But two nights ago I decided I felt like chamomile tea instead and it was right before I was going to go to bed so I thought I'd put in the mug half water, and half milk, then I microwaved it for a minute put the chamomile tea bag in for 4 minutes then since I recently bought a crap load of orange blossom honey I put a teaspoon of it in and mixed it to dissolve. That night I had a loooooong vivid and emotional dream, I wouldn't say nightmare feeling but like a movie drama feel. So I tried it again last night and again had crazy long vivid drama dreams and seem to have better recall upon waking. I don't think it could be placebo for me, because I didn't think there was a thread about this on here so as I was making a new thread about it, this thread popped up in the threads like this box thing.

Here's the dreams the drink gave me if interested.

I've heard some stuff about Apple Juice being a useful lucid aid. I can't quite remember why, though. Anybody got any info on that? Warm milk also definitely helps relax me before bed, though I'm not sure if it's made my dreams any more vivid than usual.
