Silene Capensis just doesn't work for some people?

      Hi,

I've recently become very interested in dreaming, and purchased 7 grams of powdered Silene Capensis last week. I began taking around 700mgs every morning by shaking it up in a water bottle and drinking it. I have now finished the 7gs and have experienced no change in dreams at all (I can actually never remember any of them). I admit that on 2 of the nights during the last week, I consumed alcohol so this may have had an adverse affect, but other than this I'm unsure of why it just hasn't worked for me? The vender is a reliable one and have heard many good things about the quality of its products. I purchased some mugwort yesterday which I found, definitely helped with dream recall. Would you recommend giving Silene Capensis another chance? Or should I try Calea?

      Would appreciate any advice

So far, I have had no clear effects from Silene Capensis, although I have tried it about 20 days in all (several separate series of three-four consecutive days use).

Calea is a whole different kettle of fish. It definitely works, but the main effect is to increase dream sleep, at the cost of lowering dreamless sleep. That may seem innocent enough, but dream sleep is not restful, and a calea night needs to be several hours longer than an ordinary night, in order to give the same amount of restful sleep.

Also, Calea tastes awful to an extent that words and sentences can not do justice to. If drinking it as an infusion, I advice sucking it through a straw, stuck far back in the throat, so as to minimise contact with the taste buds.
So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

Ok thank you thats good to know.

Guess it just doesn't work for some people then.

Looks like, Calea is normally more successful, will definitely be using a straw!

I'll throw in my two cents.. It didn't seem to do much for me and I wish it did and I took it for 40 days straight.

      I follow this post below:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/lucid-aids...xperience.html

DemiFiend had some great results with SC and I was hoping for similar results, but no joy. I suspect it didn't work for me because my dream recall is already good to begin with and those.. and I'm just guessing here.. that benefit from SC are those who maybe have a weaker ability to recall most dreams; I don't know, but that it my guess.

Calea is definitely next on my list of things to try though.
