      L-Theanine / Valerian Root

I have some L-Theanine at home, and i've read it's pretty safe (there aren't any major side affects).

Has anyone tried it before? What were your results? The pills I have are 225mg, is that too much?

Recently I also bought Valerian and Peppermint tea, but i've been skeptical about using it. Although valerian is safe, some of the side effects I don't want to risk with. Has anyone tried Valerian? Results? The tea contains about 1.7g Valerian and around 1.8g (or more) of peppermint.

I did not not like the dreams i had with Valerian root either of the times I used it. I may try it again, but they were almost like nightmares.

I'd love to try some tonight, but the GROGGINESS on a work night is NOT worth it sadly. The one time I had half a cup of the tea, I could barely find the 'urge' to get up.

I use valerian root for insomnia sometimes. It does a great job at getting me to sleep at night, but that's about it - no side effects that I experienced, no nightmares, no particularly unusual dreams by my standards, and no more or less lucid than usual.
