Isochronic tones working !

I have been tinkering around with these tones and beats for over a week now and here are my findings;

Night 1 -Had a short DILD after a WBTB and an unsuccessful DEILD. Used the apple earbuds.
Night 2 -Had 2 separate short DILDs with no DEILDs. Used the apple earbuds.
Night 3 -No LDs - No earbuds, used high quality speaker.
Night 4 -No LDs No earbuds, used high quality speaker.
Night 5 -Very powerful WILD (first one in a long time) still no DEILD. Used ear buds
Night 6 -Short DILD, no DEILD- New over ear head phones.
Night 7 - Short DILD with 1 very vivid DEILD - Head[hones
Night 8 - Strong WILD. Missed an FA - Headphones
Night 9 ( last night) WILD with 1 DEILD, separate DILD with many DEILDs (recalled 3 of probably 5-6)

Summary: Has worked 100% of the time using headphones but at first the LDs were short ( < 1 min) and failed DEILDS attempts. I normally have at least 1 DEILD after about 90% of my LDs. The earbuds are horribly uncomfortable and the headphones are not too much better ( im a side sleeper). Although the tracks i was using do not require headphones, they didnt work for me.


The last 2 nights i used this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYRFPmnHKOw . Its a 8 hour track but i reset it if i happen to wake up.

What are your experiences with this stuff ?

This is a bit inspiring. I have LDs incredibly rarely, even though I take Lucidimine twice a week when I can and have *some* type of isochronic/LD audio running literally the entire night until I wake up. It's been forever since I've tried headphones, but I will now, as I too have used a lot of audio claiming not to require them and my results have been abysmal for the 2.5 years I've been trying this stuff.

Good for you! I tried a short Isochronic track (15 mins or so) lately, and after two minutes I felt very uncomfortable, physically uncomfortable and tired, and parts of my body started to hurt like my neck, so I had to stop it. Is that normal?

I would say that this is not normal. There are many different tones that change frequencies throughout the track. Make sure they are from a trusted source and the tracks are designed for lucid dreaming. BTW what is the title of the track you listened to? I want to stay clear of that one !

Definitely not. I've tried quite a few tracks and have never felt the slightest discomfort of any kind from doing so. :disconcerted:

Maybe it wasn't a good one. Do you recommend any that actually worked for you? and do you have to listen while sleeping? I'd rather use something I can listen to before sleep because I'm still not comfortable to sleep listening to something I don't entirely trust.

I picked a short one to try it before sleep, I am not comfortable listening to one for 8 hours while sleeping. Do you have recommendations for short ones?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I'm trying to be far more active in the online LD community but am in the bad habit of wasting time on nonsense before bed instead of LD which is more beneficial.

I don't know exactly who's more effective than the others, and probably need to try more out. I do use a YouTube channel called Susannah IsThisADream a lot, and have had some success with it. I think my horrible journaling habits(or lack thereof) and lack of devoting enough time per day to other factors are the main issue, though. Don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like me to look at my playlists and see what other channels I have LD-inducing audio from. Like I said, I might as well be more active in the community for my OWN LDing's sake anyway, so I'm happy to reply.

It will greatly help if you can listen while sleeping for many people, because that entire time you're dreaming you might potentially hear the track and recognize what it's for, on top of the isochronic tone's properties that are also helpful. Embarrassingly enough, I've had dreams where I recognized it as such, yet somehow STILL failed to achieve lucidity. It's amazing how bad my awareness seems to be in dreams...but then, that's a main reason I'm on these forums. :)

Depending on how much you think you can stand, I'd try to leave such tracks playing all night. Or, maybe you could ease yourself into it, or only listen after the first time you wake up(after 5 hours or so for most people.) There's more REM later in the sleep cycle anyway so it's far more likely to be effective. I understand that you don't trust it, but I highly recommend finding out what can be done to keep it from making things hellish. It has a lot of potential as a technique, and if I had my priorities straight I'd probably be able to help more here!

Oh, and I really am unsure if there's much benefit to listening to anything *before* sleeping, though there are more knowledgeable people here than me by far. You're trying to get these effects while you're brain's in REM mostly, so that's a major handicap and it has literally never worked for me--my results got better once I A) started taking a supplement and B) combined that with audio while sleeping. Also, since the closer you are to the end of a sleep session the more likely you are to become lucid, listening merely before sleep is on the very opposite end of that session and therefore way less powerful.

I have taken a break from the tones but plan on starting back. It seemed like it got to the point that they were not as effective. I use https://www.youtube.com/user/BrainwavePowerMusic to sample the tracks and then use an app to download the audio only. I use Bose QC 25 and only listen when I WBTB ( not all night). There also are shorter free downloads at Iso-Tones - Lucid Dreaming.
