Are they really giving big help to attain lucidity? What do you feel when taking them? Are the effect varied by each person? Are there any side effects or risk when taking them? Where do you can get them? I hope they're easy to obtain. Wow, that's a lot question marks there. Sorry. I am so eager to know. Thankies!
Galantamine and choline taken together produce a very active state of neurotransmission in the brain. Basically, your brain is being "turbocharged" / stimulated. As a result, dreaming in this state can be more intense, more vivid. You are in effect "more awake" when dreaming. For those with lucid dream practice experience, sometimes it can be easier to get lucid this way, or sometimes the non-lucid dreams are just so darned interesting that you just forget to get lucid. So getting lucid is still very much "up to you."
One downside is that it can be hard to fall asleep after taking them.
There are risks in taking any supplement that modifies brain chemistry. Response is of course highly individual, and the best approach is to start very slowly, with minimal doses of every supplement one at a time, before moving to higher doses, and before moving to combinations. One of the biggest concerns is building up a resistance, which may take a long time to subside. Galantamine resistance builds up fairly quickly, and one dose of galantamine takes a long time to clear the body (about 4 days).
Before taking any supplements for lucid dreaming, you should carefully read Yuschak's "Advanced Lucid Dreaming: The Power Of Supplements" to understand what their effects are and how to take them properly/safely.
How easy it is to get them depends on where you live. Choline is fairly inexpensive and easy to find in supplement/vitamin stores, galantamine is pretty expensive. Galantamine much more rare & specialized, (used for treating Alzheimer's for example) and you won't find it over the counter (at least in the US). There are a number of online stores where you can order galantamine. In general it's better to order pure galantamine, not mixed with other supplements (I'd recommend avoiding Galantamind, since it comes mixed with B5 which can also prevent you from easily falling asleep).
Hope that helps. In general it's better to develop a solid LD practice on your own before looking into supplements, IMO.
edit: forgot the "how does it feel" part. I feel usually just *very awake* after I take it, drowsiness is completely eliminated. I get very intense, fireworks level of HI going off before my closed eyes, when I took 8mg galantamine togther with 300mg alpha-GPC (a form of choline). I didn't get this effect with just a single 4mg Galantamind (4mg galantamine, 50mg choline, some B5)
Wow, those are some awesome informations you gave there. One thing that I wonder though, why would they mixed galantamine with B5 if it causes you to feel hard to sleep? Can I ignore taking galantamine but only choline instead?

Galantamind is not focused on the lucid dreaming market, it's positioned more as a "brain/memory" function boosting product. I recall hearing that B5 aids in the body's/brain's absorption of choline, so it does make some sense. It's just not great for dreaming.

Note that "Galantamind" ("d" on the end) is a product containing "galantamine" (the substance).
And in general, no, choline is not enough, because the body regulates the amount of choline, working to keep it at a steady level. The point of galantamine is to suppresses this choline regulation system, allowing the choline to build to higher than normal levels (the choline that you supplement with).
But there are multiple forms of choline. One form, Alpha-GPC, according to Yuschak can be a LD trigger all on its own without galantamine at certain dosage levels. So there's nothing wrong with experimenting, just be safe and reasonable about it.
Haha. I thought that galantamine and galantamind are the same thing. This is totally unfortunate that i have to take both of them. What age is suitable to take one? I think you must be already in 20's right, fryingman. Does age even matter?
By "both of them" I assume you mean "galantamine and choline", not "Galantamind and galantamine" because that would be redundant. Well for you perhaps Galantamind would be OK since it does include some small bit of choline, if for some reason you can't acquire any choline (that would be strange though since it is more easily available then galantamine).Quote:

That's What I meant. I guess 18 years old like me can handle the them well enough. I guess natural practice is much better for me. Though it is hard, it worth it than to
depend on galantamine and choline. Thanks for the information! Never had guessed that I learn about chemistry and biology here. :)
