B6 with 5htp?
Does anyone here use b6 with 5htp combined?
I plan on getting both of them from a local pharmacy in the near future and Don't know much about them. I know to take 5htp before b6 and to take about 75mg of b6? how much 5htp to take i'm not sure.
Also would 4 tbsp of peanut butter be a good bed time snack to take with these vitamins?
Any information at all would be very helpful!! thank you in advance!

I also read eggs are high in Tryptophan so maybe instead of buying 5htp i eat four eggs an hour before bed and then take the b6 right when im about to sleep?

I find that if I take 100mg 5HTP it is good, it makes your sleepy and then you wake back up after 1 or 2 rounds of dreams
200mg is ok too, but when you wake up you'll be more awake
300mg seems to wake me sooner and make me wide awake
I only tried 400mg once same thing wake too soon, and wide awake
So I would suggest that you try 50-200 :) maybe 150 might be the sweet spot I only have 100mg capsules tho
Also I take the 5HTP quite a bit before but I'd say at least an hour
usually I just take the 5HTP and go to sleep, take the b6 when you wake back up (after one or two cycles)
who needs to remember their crappy dreams from early on :)
With the ideal amount hopefully (if you add an intention also) you will wake after every dream, record and be able to get back to sleep alternatively too much 5HTP and you will be an insomniac
75mg of B6 everyday is probably close to a maximum safe dose (that would be over 2gm per month I would aim for 1.5 gm per month) tho I currently am taking a 75mg multi B6 with 50% fast 50% slow release. I don't take it every day, but probably more than 1.5gm per month.
I wish I could get 50mg all slow release :)

I have started taking 5-htp 100mg around an hour or two before I got to sleep. and it works and I start to get sleepy and have weird semi dreams before while I am nodding on and off to sleep. This is when I have started to lay down to sleep, when I feel that feeling.
I am very inexperienced at lucid dreaming, and have really only been able to attain lucidity a few times I believe.
I only started taking 5-htp last week, and I love it. I have not tried to mix b6 with it. Interesting. I will check that out. They sell 5-htp at vitamin stores here in TX.
