      B6

I took 120 mg of b6 yesterday and had my most detailed dreams yet. What's a safe dose I can use every night?

120 mg isn't an unsafe dose. As far as I'm seeing through some googling it looks like the highest I'm really seeing is about 600 mg taken per day for various reasons.

I don't know for sure what a safe B6 dose might be, though Kraom's 600mg per day seems a decent max. But here's something else, perhaps, to think about: the B6 you took probably didn't give you your most detailed dreams yet, but rather helped you to remember your dreams in the most detail yet.

This could just be a bout of semantics, maybe, because in the end every dream is a memory, but I (and, I'm pretty sure, more qualified others) have found that B6 is an aid to recall, and not to the quality of the dreams themselves. So your dreams might always be highly detailed, but it just happens that the B6 chemically enabled you to remember that detail at a higher level than normal.

Again, this could just be semantics, but maybe knowing that all your dreams are potentially blessed with great detail is a nice thought to bring with you to your next LD...

According to my research, your body requires 2 mg a day. The recommended dose is 1.3 mg, the recommended maximum is 20 mg, and the tolerable upper limit is 100 mg. Short term, you can get away with doses larger than 100 mg, but long term, you risk nerve damage in your hands and feet.

Apples and oranges! Galantamine is a cognition enhancing medication (sometimes sold OTC as a supplement) which increases the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the brain.

As far as B6 goes, I take Optimen vitamins, two daily. Each has 50mg of B6 - so I'm taking 100mg a day and have been doing so for several years without untoward effects. In fact the Optimen is intended to be taken three times per day...but I only take it 2X.
