      REM Dreamer Pro arrived today...

Hello everyone! I just recieved my REM Dreamer mask in the mail. After tinkering in the settings I've found it's very easy to setup and use. If anyone is interested in reading of my experiences with the device, I'll keep this thread updated.

so you got the pro so you could use sound clues?

you gotta love the pics of that so future tech sound jack and wire to speaker, the kind of high-tech you'd only expect to see in a North Korean ICBM factory he he

I always wonder now that 3D scanners and printers are available why none of these small to start up companies trying to make masks don't just make the innards and then let customers print their own custom masks that would actually fit their faces.
I wonder if the things stay on people during the night, I tried just using dark out masks and found even to keep those light weight things on it was best to put like a beard net, or hair net or other elastic mesh over the thing to hold it on and in place, could work with bulky things too I suppose.

let me know if the thing is comfortable (tho I fear to buy one since if it broke I'd have to ship it to Europe or something).

let people know what settings do anything for you
Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

I have the non-pro version. It works as advertised and the fitment is decent given it's a "one size fits all" product. I would like to hear about your experiences, so DO keep this thread going as your use of the REM-Dreamer goes forward. I only use it on week-ends and MAYBE one night during the week. I've had the lights intrude into my dreams on three occasions - and I missed the cue each time.

Please keep the thread updated with your experiences. I have heard that the Pro offers personalized recordable voice cues in addition to the light cues- I feel like these could be much more effective.

Thanks for the replies! The last two nights I went to bed with it on. I don't remember seeing any cues, though my dream recall is still recovering from several months of heavy cannabis use. I got vitamin b6 today, and I intend to use the mask for a WBTB this morning. Will update tomorrow

Did you check the number of generated cues before you turned it off so you know how many you actually missed? My modus operandi is to not don the mask until I wake up to pee...typically ~2:30 - 3:00am...so it is a natural WBTB. I "guestimate" 30 minutes to fall back to sleep so I set the REM detection delay to 30 - 40 minutes. All in all, the REM Dreamer generates 3 cues between the time I put it on until I awake for the day. I see no benefit (and therefore no point) in wearing it when I first go to bed. So far I've only used the mask on a couple of Friday and Saturday nights, and a couple of Wednesday nights. That's going to be my routine for a while.

I noticed there's a used version 6 Rem Dreamer on Ebay for $145.00, and I'm thinking of maxing out my credit card. Does anyone know what the difference is between the version 6 and later models? Any idea what these usually go for used? Thanks!

Not sure what the different versions are, but I know the RD used to be confusing to set up. Make sure if you get it, to get the version with the LCD and 3 buttons. Also I was unable to find any used ones when I bought it, so I just got it new.
