      Lightbulb Tea(s) that affect Dreams?

Do the standard Green Teas or Orange Pekoe teas affect dreams at all?
If not, are there perhaps some that do? I know that caffeine has an affect on dreams (Which i have grown an immunity to) but is there anything else about teas that can have an affect?

I can't say much for the teas that you mentioned, but I know from experience that mugwort does have an effect on dreaming. It can be taken as a tea, although it's not the sort of thing you find pre-packaged at the supermarket. It also affects menstruation, so take with care.

I bought mine from a shop that specialised in herbs. Not a smoke shop as such, but if there are any smoke shops near you they might be able to point you on to herb suppliers.

It is important to mention that mugwort can be very bad for you if you take it for a long time. In my opinion, mugwort is not worth the side effects you can have.

Holy Mugwort. It was bizarre. I didn't really go lucid though. I drank a lot without thinking, and used Mountain Roses' dream tea, and I came as close to being lucid as possible without actually being lucid. I was aware I was the dreamer or the driver, I was aware that the characters of this dream (and I was very aware and somehow not aware I was in a dream) were reacting to my energy, and the characters were aware of it too, but in a "yeah duh" sorta "it's a given" way. It was incredibly vivid and bizarre. And kinda pretty sometimes. My dream group at the time were there.

That being said I haven't taken it since. I might once I get over my anxiety maybe.

And yeah, mountain rose has a dream tea with mugwort in it that's nice. They also have just mugwort as an herb. It doesn't look expensive (without shipping...). I have heard that Celastrus is good (tincture) for lucidity, but I've yet to want to pay for it (haha). Apparently students use it for studying or something.

Calea Zacatachichi ( Spelling might be out )
      Look it up.
A Mexican dream herb that is made from leaves of the plant by the same name.
Worst tasting brew I have ever tried.
Dream stimulator like no other, but you need a good gag reflex.
Plenty of sugar / honey may help.

That is the best description of what I've experienced with mugwort too. It was like having a very vivid lucid dream in which I was performing my regular lucidity exercises (teleporting, dream control etc.) and knew that I was in a dream, without actually being 'lucid' or fully presently and consciously aware.

I've never taken Calea as a tea because I've been told vomiting is to be expected and it's supposedly just as effective when smoked. I have interesting dreams after smoking, but nothing earth-shattering. Maybe I should suck it up and try it as a tea, for science.

Calea is extremely bitter, so I would advocate using rather little water; better to drink a tea that is four times as bitter but of which there is only one fourth as much to drink. It gets easier with experience, but initially it will probably be somewhat of a shock.
So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

Didn't you use to be a mouse? Or was that someone else?

Yes, I used to be a mouse, but account details disappeared.
When the mouse found out he had lost his account, he ran away.
Still hoping admin will let him access his old details.

Thanks for reinstating my original account Gab.
Tiredphil2 has now gone to sleep, and may never wake up.

      Back to the topic.
If the C'Z' is too bitter to drink, which it is, why not put some in an empty pill case.
To have the desired effect, it would need to be ground into a fine powder.
Not saying you wont puke, but at least you do not have to suffer with the foul taste.
I will have a trial tonight, and report back tomorrow.
Might add a little Ginger to the mix.

I know that green tea contains the amino acid L-theanine which I read increases sleep quality, tho I recall that the levels in green tea are pretty low. Green tea also has anti inflammatory properties and maybe the caffeine would do something. I have taken 200mg L-theanine tablets with biotin for anxiety and it did help with that, also before sleep which left me feeling refreshed in the morning, but I didn't notice any marked change in my dreams. I do not know the half life, so perhaps taking them during the wake back to bed method would have had better effects, when its levels are peaking in the brain. Next time I purchase L-theanine i will experiment with it in a more controlled fashion.

I purchased a bag of Passionflower not long ago and drank it before going to sleep, I fell instantly into a 30 minute series of very weird and vivid dreams and then woke up, it is not common for me to have those kinds of dreams minutes after going to sleep at night, but they were not lucid. This happened one other time after that then the passionflower didn't have that effect anymore. I have not had any of that tea for a few weeks and plan to try it during the WBTB method sometime in the next month or so.
