      Homemade Lucid Dream Induction Device

      Hey everyone,
For a long time I have wanted to either buy or build my own LD induction device, and today I have finally made one of my own. The instructions I followed were on another LD forum so I don't think I can post a link, but it was quite simple and straightforward Arduino project. The hardest part was making sure everything was attached properly and doesn't fall apart. It will definitely never win a design award but as long as it works, I am happy. (I know the headband looks funny, and I ended up using ribbon for present wrapping to hold everything in place, as well as sticky tape, since the cable ties I got were just not long enough and uncomfortable as well.)

When it is turned on two LED's in front of my eyes will flash for a few seconds every 5 to 15 minutes (random) which will ideally transfer into my dreams, providing a cue for lucidity. Hopefully over the next few weeks I can adjust is a bit more and start getting some lucids out of it!

I think the Remee mask works on a timing principle as well, so in theory it could work if you get used to the comfort and brightness levels. It is a pity about the links thing. Even so I'm pretty sure I have also seen REM tracking sketches for the aurdino on the web, although I haven't personally tested any. You would have to throw in an extra photo diode and an IR source (diode) though, but they are dirt cheap.

      Good luck.

I'm curious, how did this work for you? Have you found anything out there that works?
