      Okay so the Idea Behind this is very Easy. It is meant to train people learning to WILD and aid people able to WILD.

      I made this MP3 with my Synthesizer and Audacity Recording 2 Minutes of Silence followed by 15 Seconds of Church Bells Ringing 4 times.

      Now the Idea is to lay in bed and Meditate with/Have Lucid Dreaming on your Mind. Know that the time between each 2 Churchbell Salvos of 4 ''Dongs'' is always exactly 2 minutes. I choose the Churchbells because they have something magical too. The Idea that at every Dong you hear you're 2 Minutes closer to sleep and Dreaming and sinking deeper and deeper away kind of Helps me sink into sleep faster too.
      Now Close your eyes and attempt WILD. Your Mind will wander off of the Subject of Lucid Dreaming and WILDing a couple of times within those mere 2 Minutes without a doubt. Try to maintain focussing all your attention on Lucid Dreaming and Staying Concious for Longer and longer ignoring Distractive thoughts. IF you Train this you will eventually make it to the First ''Dong'' without having you thoughts lead you away fromLucid Dreaming and Focussing attention not even a single time. This is the basis of Meditation: Learning to Focus and Training to Strengthen the Attention.

      You could Run this MP3 every time when you go to sleep to attempt WILD and see if you got any Improvement in Focussing Attention and Remaining Concious longer just by Remembering how many ''Dongs'' you remember having Heard before Falling asleep unconcious anyway. Write them down in your Dream Journal Every morning.
      Let's say you Remember having heard ''8 Dongs'' last Night. You write it down.
      If the NEXT morning you remember having heard 10 Dongs that night, that means you managed to stay Concious (2X2:15=) 4,30 Minutes longer than the Night before. It also means you were 4,30 Minutes closer to falling asleep & entering a Dream Conciously than ever before

      Would be a good measurement- and training tool. Good thing to Hold on to.
      What I do is I play it on WinAmp and set it to repeat. That way it'll ''Dong'' 4 times for 15 seconds every 2 Minutes non stop, all night. And it's playing in the Room next to mine on a rather Loud Volume. That way it's still loud enough to penetrate my attention, yet it sounds somewhat distant and far away too because it's in the next room. You can also put this MP3 on your MP3 player or on a CD and play in on Repeat.

      So If anyone would like to experiment with me on this, let me know and reply. Give me a desent site for the Job and I shall then Upload the File there so you people here can Download it again.
      I would like to see both Experienced WILD-ers and non-experienced people attempting WILD take part in this Experiment and all post their Results here.

      Thanks. Well THIS is the Link to Download the MP3.

      Just put it in a Loop and play it on Repeat. Actually I just went to sleep with it playing and found myself in Almost complete Numbness, that always goes prior to SP, and in profoundly deep states Conciously already after having heard only 9 ChurchClock Dongs. I had to wake up because I had to take a leak anywayz, not too bad but if I would have fallen asleep that way it would have awoken with a very full bladder at some point later in the Night: Not very nice when you've succesfully WILDed and are having a LD.

      What I tried before was pretty easy:
      Try and maintain the Lucid Dreaming in Mind and Constantly remember the Number of Dongs you've heard. The Dongs are a Constant Reminder to Stay Concious and Focus your attention on the Current Number. The Number isn't the Important thing really: It's the Attention Focussing part you do that is Important. The Number System is, however, a Good tool to focus attention.

      At the First Dong close your eyes and Visualise the number ''0''. Keep your attention focussed on the 0 and try your best to visualise it the best as possible. Try and ''make it'' to the Next Dong Salvo and Visualise The Number ''1'' and keep your Mind Focussed on that number.In the Meanwhile only allow thoughts to pass your Mind if they are about Lucid Dreaming or Closely Related: This to prevent your Mind from wandering off too far too easily. Sometimes Check SP, Check HI, but always bring the thought back on the Number you were Focussing on.

      I'm going to sleep with this MP3 on tonight.

      Okay so First night I tried this and Managed to count the Churchbell Ring 15 Times before I passed out and fell asleep unconcious.

      While I was at 13 I perceived a very realistic Hypnagogic Hallucination of my Living Room Window, with a view on my garden, in the left corner of my Field of vision. It moved and was very 3D.It also made me feel uneasy but I read this is the beginning of the transition phase and that it's important NOT to chicken out and proceed. It left again quickly and not long afterwards I fell alseep unconciously.

      So not only did it keep me alert long enough to experience one MAJOR Hypnagogic Hallucination prior to my dream, I also managed to fall asleep much faster than usual, because I found the Ringing Churchbells entrancing by the ''DONG!!! DONG!! DONG!! DONG!, Yet another 2 Minutes Closer to sleep''-idea. ( I fell asleep after 15 Dongs; 15X 2:15 Min = abt. Half an Hour ) It usually takes me an hour or longer.

      Last night I was too Physically restless to even Mind attempting it again: The biggest concern was getting to sleep at all
      So I'll be doing it again tonight and see if I can hold out longer than 15 times this time. I'll make sure I'm really tired when I go to bed tonight.
      If I'm restless again I think I'll put on some Brutal Drum N Bass and dance like crazy to it untill I'm exhausted Dancing also works meditational on my Mind; It blanks it and focusses my attention. As it also wears me down physically it might be a good thing to do prior to sleep.

      So the bells will be ringing again tonight. Hope I'll get further than 15 times this night.
      And people, be sure to Remember the Number of Times you hear the Bells Ring 4 times, and Post it here the next day. Or at least write it down as a note in your Dream Journal to see if you made some progress.

      I got 36, before I half impusively opened my eyes.

      I really like your idea, I can't exactly try to tell the time because I know my mind will wander, but I think after 8 chimes my mind wandered and the 9th chime got me back on track.

      My only problem was when I heard the chimes, the hightened awareness made me realize my feet were itching to move, and most of the chimes I sort of lightly twitched them and gave in

      Great idea, though, I'll definetly do it again tonight.

      Yeah WILD is really about developing a strong will power and Long attention span. Your Will Power and Attentionspan will eventually decrease to a minimun while falling asleep: People often loose their WILL to continue the WILD effort when overcome by Sleep and It becomes harder and harder to maintain your attention pure and Focus due to a storm of spontanious, subconcious thoughts.

      By focussing on the Number of times you've heard the Bells ring and Visualising the Number you're at you learn to maintain an undisturbed focussed attention: This is therefor kind of a Way of Meditation applied to assist WILDing.
      If this were to become a succesfull WILD-Technique it should be called AMILD: Auditory/Meditative Induction of Lucid Dreams.

      Well my mom absolutely HATES it when I put on the Churchbell-MP3 at night, but once she's asleep the town could be bombarded and it wouldn't wake her up SO once she's asleep I'll put on the MP3 and lay down to bed and count the number of Bells I hear before I pass out.
      Hopefully I'll get further conciously and get to experience at least some of the Transition phase. I believe last time I was pretty close.

      Good to know you're with me Megabenman, post down the number of bells you've counted and if you managed to maintain attention focussed better than last time.

      Anyone else with us in this Experiment? Let me know.

      I'm definantly going to give this a try, i've never had much success with WILDing. Has this actually worked for anyone yet?

      I'll be interested in trying this. Is there a download link? I didn't see one.

      I've never had a WILD. But I can easily get to SP within 10-20 minutes, but usually fall unconscience.

      Okay last night I was hella tired and skipped this technique for another night. Sometimes I'm happy enough to be ABLE to catch some sleep ( I've had Insomnia for months and I'm just recovering from it;sleeping healthy again )

      So not all nights are nights I WANT to attempt WILD + This Auditory technique. Sometimes I just want some sweet deep sleep and wake up very well rested; The churchbells might disturb that slepyness when I'm already A little mentally restless.
      I'll do it when I notice my Mind is already somewhat calmer than usual and I'm sure that I'll be able to fall asleep fast and effortlessly anyway.

      So next night I'll do this I'll post the results here. In the mean while I want to know you're results. Not only the number of times you remember having heard the Bells, but also if you were able to stay concious longer and experience any Hypnagogic Images, Sounds & Sensations Conciously that you never before experienced that concious. Okay?

      Also I would like to see some people who are ABLE to WILD succesfully to try this technique to see if it makes their WILD-ing effort harder, easier or wether it makes no difference. Post all your results, or lack of results, here.

      You can add a constant sound to have something to concentrate on - something very quiet, but steady. A constant quiet whistle perhaps... hm, my imagination fails .       A constant sound would probably ( in my experience ) be very annoying, when i try to WILD I want it to be quite, since noise annoys during WILD attempt, dont know about everyone else tho.

      when i WILD i dont want anything on my mind its like Im trying to go to sleep but staying councious. Wich is pretty hard cus as fast as i get numbness or any slightest diffrent feeling in my body i start thinking about it just for a moment and only that disturbs my concentration.

      ill try the mp3.... but i got to try that barin wave gen thing one more time... i lay there for like 10 min and i get blures of lights moving really fast and then 20-30 min i feel a massive sensation of falling but i neva get anywere... I fall and either it goes away and im back 2 nothing again fully awake or i end up oepning my eyes out of nowere without wanting too... its like a false awakinging but its not do use get past the falling? if use even have it?

      Well with this MP3 of the ringing churchbells I managed to fall asleep in about 30 minutes and stayed concious while very deep into Hypnagogia. I witnessed one mayor, faint Hypnagogic hallucination. It was faint and hazy yet immersive and dreamscape like.I felt that falling sensation too. Very strange sensation. I might try this again tonight.

      There will be a point at which your ears will no longer pick up external sound, so there'll be no more Churchbells guiding you and remembering you to stay Concious. It is ''the Transition phase''. I've never fully reached and endured this phase conciously, but with this MP3 I'm trying to train staying concious longer and more continuous.

      I've had some nasty insomnia for months but now lately I've been sleeping normally again. So if I'm tired enough tonight I'll put on the Churchbells-MP3 as I go to sleep, because I know that I wont have any trouble falling asleep fast.

      Perhaps I'm going to do 30 minutes of Meditation prior to sleep to Calm down my Mind as much as Possible.
