I don't know if anyone has heard of these, but I have not seen them mentioned, so I will enlighten you. The Bach Flower Remedies are a homeopathic medicine, and if you don't know about homeopathies, they work on a vibrational/energetic level, i.e. no physiological effects, and only change your energetic state. Much more explanation and background information is needed, but this is the basics. They were developed by a Dr. Bach in England in the 1930s, and serve to alleviate many common mental and physical ailments through the energetic properties of various species of flower/fauna. There are 38 remedies and cover a range of problems including: "mental torture behind a cheerful face, failure to learn from mistakes, hopelessness and despair, terror and fright , Extreme mental anguish, procrastination, impatience ". But to be more on topic the one that has extremely improved myself-programming and mental concentration is White Chestnut. Dr. Bach's description is "For those who cannot prevent thoughts, ideas, arguments which they do not desire from entering their minds. Usually at such times when the interest of the moment is not strong enough to keep the mind full. Thoughts which worry and will remain, or if for a time thrown out, will return. They seem to circle round and round and cause mental torture. The presence of such unpleasant thoughts drives out peace and interferes with being able to think only of the work or pleasure of the day." I , personally, seem to over analyze everything, so much so that it won’t let me sleep at night, and after taking White Chestnut, it can only be described as, a wall is put up in your mind and all these thoughts are on the other side, leaving you with peace and concentration . And believe me, it is a miracle worker. Seems too good to be true? Well, frankly, it's not. They are not "Drugs" in the regular sense and you can suffer no, and I repeat, NO adverse side effect from these, or any other homeopathic for that matter, because there is no drug in them, only the vibrational essence of the particular plant species which, as untraditional as this may be to you, do the work. What exactly are these? Grain alcohol infused with the vibrational energy of the species, and you take drops directly or in water. Now to be clear, this will not directly help you to attain lucidity in a dream state, but rather provide its benefit to self-programming, meditation, the FAT technique, and WILDs.

As well, the other technique which has helped me greatly is the Sliva Method. Essentially it is a deep relaxation technique, which brings you to, what he calls, your “alpha” level, which I’m certain is not the regular alpha brain wave freqs., but something else, and once attained you can truly, directly program yourself to think positively, drop bad habits, heal others, and of course to aid in developing your lucidity. The really interesting thing is that, once mastered, the “paralysis” that is supposed to be reached in a WILD, FAT technique, can be obtained in 5 sec. That’s right, and I can tell you from my own practice that it is easy to obtain, and I do so every night!

Goggle both to find out more and any feedback/questions are welcomed.

We use Bach Rescue Remedy at the hospital where I work. It comes in a cream, spray, and liquid. It works for some cats, but not others, probably depending on the degree of anxiety and other factors. It's also used for dogs (and of course, humans), and is sold at health food stores. I haven't tried it on myself ~ I'm not stressed enough to need to.

I'm bumping this old thread, because I'm interested in knowing if anyone else knows something about this Sliva method. He said he can reach sleep paralysis is 5 seconds (...?...).
Also the White Chestnut he uses sounds like it may help in WILD. Anyone tried that?

White Chestnut is otherwise named Aesculus hippocastanum and I believe we have just such a tree growing in our neighborhood..

What do you suggest I do? Make some kind of extraction of it using grain alcohol?

I found these instructions of how to make the remedy: http://oaks.nvg.org/re6ra10.html
hmmm, there seems to be 2 seperate remedies: White chestnut, Chestnut bud, that are made from the same plant.

I would just like to point out that it's a bit misleading to say "no physiological effects". The Bach remedies are formulated to adjust psychic (or emotional) energies more than physiological, but homoeopathy as such is a medicine, and does have physiological effects.

The idea of vibrational or energy medicines are that physical problems begin at the energy level, and so working with energies in the body does filter through to the physical. I've known of people who have helped themselves with difficult health problems using the Bach remedies - which makes sense because a strong emotional state will eventually result in physical health problems (eg extreme bitterness could end up as liver/digestive problems).

I always think it's hard to prescribe the Bach remedies for myself so I use a pendulum - which works very well. I guess the pendulum is a lot more honest about me than I am I often use up to 4 remedies at a time.

I've just checked out the Silva method and it looks fascinating. Can you say how you learned the techniques? There's a free course offered online, or there are various courses. I'd like to experience it for myself - which way do you recommend?

it's an old thread, so he might not be subscribed on the thread anymore because of the server change, even if he's still subscribed to DreamViews.
