I forget the name but its some native american herb. I tried some last night. Your supposed to make a tea and then smoke it? Couldn't remember my dreams. Which is rare for me.

There's several drugs that do that. Personally, its more rewarding to work hard and get natural LDs.

Is it Calea Zacatechici?

If you do a search, there are a few threads on it, around here.

Yeah, Calea is your most likely candidate. As Oneironaut said, just research it! You should find PLENTY....

Thanks guys. Its not chamomile but I'll check the other one. Just to be straight, I'm TOTALLY anti-drug. This stuff doesn't make you high or really have a noticable difference. I just get a little calmer with it and try to meditate to sleep which is probably a huge part in itself. Anyway, for now I like it, (maybe helps me from not smoking cigs&#33 but yes, I agree, it will be better when I have total control.

Calea is not an illegal substance, so don't feel bad. I've tried it, and it works well in calming you down enough to have an LD. It also increased the vivivity of my dreams.

Why are you so eager to clarify you are totally anti-drugs? Nobody here is going to claim you are a drug user because you use Calea Z. A lot of people have, and most people here aren't that close minded about drugs. It's not like if you're a drug user, you get prejudized grudges and all that.

No maybe not...but thats just how I am so I thought I'd say it. I don't mean to offend those who do either, but its something I just kinda belive in firmly. A lot of my friends (really close...and some i just knew...) died recently from drugs....so I'm sorry but its on my mind alot.

Anyway, it was that calea stuff. I was talking about it in another post. In my mind there are like, pros and cons. I know its legal which is the only way i'd have it (personally) and i like that it calms me, but I also am trying to not smoke anything (meaning I used to smoke cigs and its better than that but still smoke and the habit) and it does NOT help my clarity or dream recall at all! Such a bummer! Its supposed too! Anyway, I guess working for Red Bull has its downs when it comes to sleeping time, hu!? lol.

I recently bought some from a "potion shop" I suppose you could call it and I know it can also be called Dream Smoke. That is what it's called at the place I got it atleast. I haven't tried it yet but i'll let you know the results.

I read the word herb and so this Topic got my attention

Well anywayz. Drugs is a wide class. Coffee(Cafeïne) is Drugs, The Sigarettes you smoke(Nicotine) are Drugs, The medication your doctor prescribes you; Drugs , Marijuana is Drugs and Heroin is Drugs.
Now you may see that it is difficult to put a good/bad moral stamp on the general term ''Drugs'', but I DO consider Calea Zacatechichi and such dreamherbs as drugs too. Subtle psychoactive drugs, but defenitely drugs. It's just a word with alot of negativity attatched to it. I must say I do some drugs, mainly Psychedelic Ecodrugs; Like Mushrooms, Mescalin Cactus, Salvia & Marijuana, while on the other hand I stay away from more Toxic/Addictive drugs like Cocaine, Heroin, Alcohol and the Like. There is a clear difference to be made.

But these DreamHerbs are in my opinion just as well drugs. A good, nonharmfull, subtile drugs, which's effects are profound when asleep and dreaming only.
I tried Calea too (10X extract) but it didn't seem to make a difference at all for my nights of dreaming. Bummer indeed.
But a little over a month ago I ordered this other Dream Enhancing herb: African Dream Root, A.K.A. Silene Capensis. I didn't know what expecct after having tried and seen Calea fail.

To my surprise I have had one full week worth of remarkably vivid, sensemaking, Clear, bright and well remembered dreams from only mixing half a Teaspoon of Powdered DreamRoot to my Cup of tea. In fact I must admit even that I haven't had such Intense and Wonderfull dreams since my Childhood. On the 6th night after the Cup of DreamRoot Tea I had a Lucid Dream. The effects of this herb seem to take about 3 to 4 days to reach full effect and then leave you with about the rest of the week's dreams to be pretty emotionally intense, Visually detailed, symbolical, logical and storyline-ish/narrative.
You're supposed to Drink this Tea early in the morning when your stomach is empty. Afterwards you can eat if you're hungry.

So if you, like me, were disappointed in Calea Zacatechichi, but still interrested in a DreamEnhancing herbs: I would like to Recommend you to try Silene Capensis; African DreamRoot, as it worked miracles for my Dreams and their Clarity.

Mmm, me too. Actually, thanks for reminding me of this, I need to get some more. I haven't noticed the increased dream activity YET, but the calming properties are lovely. If you can get used to the tea's bitterness, that is.

Some that spring to mind (spelling is most likely wrong for these):
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgeris) - Basically a dream-herb. Supposedly enhances dream-recall/vividness.
Valerian (Valerian officinalis) - A anti-anxiety, cramp plant. Also aids in sleep.
Melatonin (Melatonin is the scientific term?) - Mostly used to reduces things like jet-lag i think, it a chemical naturally produced by some gland in the human body. It regulates sleep, et cetera.

I haven't tried any of these so, yeah. I may also have remembered incorrectly what they actually do, lol.

Maybe try erowid.com probably find something there.

Ohwell, good luck and have fun!

SKA, where do you get this african dream herb? I would consider trying some, but does it have any effect on you during the day? I don't want any LD herbs screwing me up in school and stuff.
