Thumbs up

Hey all, I'm curious to know... since one of my major down-fall when I was studying to be a psychic was that I found it really hard to relax I still do and since most of these techniques for inducing LD's I find are required to be relaxed I tried doing a MILD but alas my mind is literally like the Ying Yang Symbol if you know what I mean, if not just think of it as having an evil version of you inside your head downing your self all the time <- literally like that... so I find it quite hard again to quite my mind so I was wondering if any one knew any usefull simple relaxation techniques I could follow?

Thx if you can help me out!
Franky.

Eh? They have a university or something?

Scepticism aside though, if you're looking for a relaxation technique, I find the 61-Point Relaxation Technique to be by FAR the most effective, ESPECIALLY if you're looking to WILD.

I use an exercise I found in this book - which, incidentally, may be right up your alley.

Anyway, the exercise is to lay in bed and close your eyes. Picture a big blackboard in your mind. Written in chalk on the blackboard are your thoughts at the moment. They may be moving and changing, depending on what you're thinking just now. Take a big eraser and start erasing the words - make the blackboard blank. Concentrate on keeping the board completely blank. If your mind starts wandering, and words start to appear on the blackboard again, just erase them again and keep thinking about the blank blackboard and your blank mind.

This exercise usually gets me relaxed enough through the combination of wiping away the day's worries and thoughts, and from the effort of keeping my mind blank.

funny teeter-totter smiley, btw

I dont see why people need to "clear there minds". If you ask me, thats asking for trouble

Hi, I don't visit this part of the forums too much but I saw it on the main forum page and I would suggest that you try my reverse blinking technique found here: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?...=34017&st=0

It is a very simple and powerful technique which can help you relax a great deal plus induce trance states/different brainwave states such as alpha or theta. Check it out and see how it works for you

Here's another alternative to relaxing:

-Progressive muscle relaxation: http://www.guidetopsychology.com/pmr.htm

-Autogenics (Very rewarding technique)

Now here is Nowhere

I woke up this morning and got into bed. Went up to the roof and swam down the chimney to the mall. They had a special on meat so I poured some into a glass and watered the milkman. Then I drew myself home and found the fish had ate the cat the cat had ate the dog and the dog had been eaten by the mailman. Then I got out of bed and went back to sleep.

I tried an hour of aerobics before sleep and it worked for me.
