      So I was poking around on the internet for some fun and searching for nifty optical illusions, when I came across this site. It's a ten minute hypnosis session, where a voice guides you into a trance state while a theta-inducing sound plays. During the trance, you're supposed to think about things you want to achieve (such as lucid dreaming ). After ten minutes, the voice brings you out of the trance. Dunno if it'll work in inducing any LD's, but it's a great stress-reliever in any case .

      Edit: The guy who does the speaking in this pronounces theta as "theeta", like the "ee" in "teeth". I've always heard it where the e in theta sounds like the first a in "cicada". Not really important, but it confused me at first.

      I just listed to it, and I have to say its effects are pleasant, almost as if I was meditating. Should I do this right before I go to sleep too?

      This didn't get me to LD, but I was insanely relaxed after this. I think I'll be using this before tests at school

      I think it didn't work to help me achieve a LD because I couldn't help but laugh when he was counting, I'm easily amused :yumdumdoodledum:

      I tried using this right before going to sleep and when he started counting again he scared the hell out of me cuz I was already almost asleep..

      Me too! It's a great find sj, thanks. I also spontaneously woke up after a normal dream at 3 in the morning, which basically never happens. Could it be that douring the hypnosis session I "gave myself" a chance to try a technique?
