i am conducting an experiment where tonight before sleeping.. around 10 ish, i will take a 400 IU capsule of Vitamin E.

results shall be posted in the morning about what happened, how dreams were affected, and if lucidity was achieved.

for tonight, i will NOT be combining this with the WBTB technique or any others. just plain observing effects.

comments appreciated. if you can try this also, post in this thread about your experiences.

I take 400 IU of vitamin E every day, and I don't see much of a difference. I've don't think I've ever heard of vitamin E being beneficial to dreaming though.

Can you link me to the post? I don't think I've ever seen it.

I don't know much about the different vitamins' combined effects on dreaming. I just know I didn't see any different when I started taking the vitamin E, though I didn't start taking them for the dreaming, it was to speed tissue repair, and there's always something to be said for the placebo effect.

Hey thanks for that link, hellopotato Very interesting. I take 1 one of those 400IU soft gels everyday and I didn't see any difference in my dreaming (or LDing for that matter). But I guess everyone's different.

As for the WBTB, it would probably help to get out of bed for a few minutes to gain more awareness. If you didn't get out of bed, you'd risk falling right back to sleep and then you woke up for nothing. Just get up for a few mins, enough to maybe go to the bathroom and look out the window or something. Then go back to bed.

      hey burns,

when do you take the tablet? i took it at 10:00 and i sleep at 11. i noticed an increase of dream recall.

also, would 5 minutes be effective for the wbtb? the times i tried it i never got out of bed although i did stay awake for 10 minutes. it never worked.

what do i tell myself in those 5 minutes?

sorry for all the questions. these are the only things i want to know

Actually, I take it in the morning with my other vitamins so maybe that's why I don't see a difference.

You can try doing it for 5 mins, but actually get out of bed and do something else, like reading about dreaming or LDing, to keep the concept fresh in your mind. Then go back to bed and think about realizing that you're dreaming.
