I've recently been looking into supplements helping me get to sleep at night, and helping me get back to sleep after weird dreams, and I was wondering... how much is too much?

I'm currently taking 10 mg of Melatonin a night along with an antihistamine... I'm considering switching to Valerian, but I'm not sure what that would do to my system. I also have considered dropping the antihistamine and just taking Valerian and Melatonin, or dropping Melatonin and the antihistamine all together and just takign the Valerian...

what in your opinion would be the usual recommended dosages for Melatonin, Valerian, and other supplements like Melatonin and Valerian?

... really, the best advice I can give you is, Lucid dreaming doesn't come in a bottle. It takes hard work, and determination.

      +1

I've been trying B6, and haven't really noticed any difference. If anything, I've lost dream recall. Whether that is B6 related, or other things I don't know.

The only time I've had LDs (or close to) is when I really put the effort in. I wish you could just take something and BOOM, have a lucid. Doesn't work that way though.

Maybe in the future when we get like cybernetic nano technology implanted into our brains and use them to trigger a lucid on will. But until then, good luck.

well, to be honest, I wasn't really looking for LD in a bottle, I just wanted to know in other people's opinions is a safe dose to take, because I read some disturbing things about B6, and I was a little concerned about the sleep aids...

I've found valerian works well, I take 350 mg. They dont cause lucid dreams however, but sometimes vivid dreams occur.

Valerian and Melatonin are both very safe and effective sleep aids.

However the amount of Melatonin you are taken seems to be very through the roof and in excess. I wouldn't suggest every taking more than 5mgs, and 3mgs is was some doctors say any peak effect will be reached at.

okay... maybe that's why I haven't been having any LDs recently... do you think I should switch off Melatonin off period and just use Valerian?

I'm not getting any results from the B6 supplement ...
