      Question Subliminal MP3s

Hey folks, got a bit of an unusual one for you...

At my work we used to have the radio played over the tannoy (PA) but due to licensing issues we can't do this anymore. We've been told that we are allowed to bring mp3 players to work so we can listen to our own music. The only restriction is that we are only allowed to have one earphone in so that we can still hear customers etc.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for things I could listen to like any mp3s with LD-based subliminals in them etc that would be suitable to listen to while working. Obviously hypnosis/trance type stuff is out as I need to keep functioning and binaurals are also out as I can only use one earphone.

I already have "The Ultimate Lucid Indcution" and intend to stick it on my iPod and listen to that, but as good as it is I could do with some other things to add to my playlist. What I'm really looking for is anything with a tune and some suggestions/subliminals in it...

      All suggestions gratefully received

I make up my own subliminals to listen to at work using MULTIQUENCE which is a shareware program.

If you already have some sound tracks you can mix them with whatever text you want to feed your mind using a text-to-speech editing program, the best of which I've found to be TextAloud, although there are some free ones also.

The important thing in making subliminals is to mix the voice track in loud enough so that you can actually hear it although not loud enough to be distracting, because recent research has shown that your mind has to be able to actually hear the affirmations to be affected by them.

As far as noticing any results using this with lucid dreaming suggestions though, and I've been listening to these for 5 or 6 hours a day for about a month now, the only thing I've noticed is that my attitude has changed to where I really believe I can have lucid dreams , although they have still not occurred frequently.

Cool thanks for that I'll give it a try.

Another question though - what sort of sound tracks do you use as your base? I don't really have anything over about 5 minutes in length and I don't fancy making up tens or hundreds of mixes to last me a full night at work, lol.

Any kind or length of sound tracks will work as long as they are converted to either a wav file or mp3 file because with Multiquence you can specify how many times you want the file to repeat, up to hundreds of times if you need that.

A while back I purchased 5 cd's of shamman drumming music which gave me about 4 hours worth of music that I enjoy listening to. So using Goldwave, another shareware program, I just combined all of the files together into one large MP3 file, and then using Multiquence I mixed that with a text-to-speech file I made up with suggestions for lucid dreaming and memory improvement.

In your case though you might want to use something simple like ocean waves with bird sounds in the background, or something similar that you wouldn't get tired of listening to all day long. I listen to something similar to this when I sleep at night.

Excellent, thanks for the advice. I'll get cracking on it after work

Another option for something to use as a sound track MrT1981 would be something with binaural beats or pulses that you could create using either Brainwave generator or Neuro-Programmer II.

If you are interested in Neuro-Programmer II though I would go with the Professional version which sells for $60.00 because that is the only one that they allow you to create your own presets in.

It's too bad that the makers of Neuro-Programmer II are so greedy and only allow a person to try their product for 15 days and then lock it up so you can never try it again, because if they were more lenient and allowed people to use their program more readily like the Brainwave generator people do, they would probably outsell the Brainwave generator, because there is a whole lot more you can do with it, and it's a lot easier to use.

For one thing it has more than just binaural beats which are only effective with headphones, as they have pulses also, which work without headphones. And with Neuro-Programmer II you can also add the beats or pulse intensity to a music file, which affects what the music file sounds like, and mix music files, pulses or binaural beats, whilte noise, etc, all together in one file like in the Multiquence program, although they are are only able to import to wav files and not to mp3 files. So I just listen to the files I put together on my computer in my bedroom when sleeping at night.

I haven't heard of pulses before, could you explain a little about them or point me towards some info on them?

Yes, they are isochronic tones which are evenly spaced based pulses which turn on and off at a specified rate per second. Supposedly because the tones turn off so quickly they produce strong responses in the brain, which according to the folks who built the Neuro-Programmer II, lead to the most effective brainwave stimulus.

Compared to that, binaural beats are two or more tones of any frequency that when played together add and subtract enough from each other to be perceived as a pulse or beat which can be used to entrain the brain.

Here's an article I found on the web on them: http://ezinearticles.com/?Use-Of-Iso...BWE)&id=328081

Learning to build your own programs and files to listen to is definitely the way to go because you make adjustments to your programs and improve on them as you go along, which is something you would be unable to do if you had bought a commercial program.

Thanks again, will check it out.

I've made a few tracks with subliminals using textaloud and some American Indian music that I picked up. Been listening before bed and at work and so far no lucids but as you mentioned I *have* noticed I'm remembering a lot more dreams now so it's having a positive effect
