Well I've heard wonderful things about Vitamin B6 for a long time and noticed that the multivitamins I take contain 2mg (100% Daily Value) so I was wondering if that would help or would the other stuff in the multivitamin like cancel it out? Also when should I take this, immediatedly before I try to go to sleep?
2mg is too low a dose to do you much good.
The standard LD dose I've encountered is 50mg, which is what I take.
Occasionally, i've heard of people taking 100, but that's just a bit excessive, in my opinion.
I'd invest in a bottle of 50mg B6 pills. They aren't terribly expensive, running maybe, 6-7 dollars for a decent sized bottle.
Take it maybe 30 minutes before bed on an empty stomach.
Alright thanks, I think for now I'll skip that. If I'm having too much trouble dreaming, I might try some of that.
I take 1 cap of 200mg of B6 around 2-3 AM and have seen great spikes in my lucidity nights when training. I swear by the stuff. You'll read online on how much is too much, so far I'm sticking with the 200mg should be max allowed.

I take Multi B vitamins for energy release and this has 2mg of B6 which it says is the RDA lol.
Might try 50mg then see what happens :lol:
Well luckily I only took them during lucid training or research time. I wouldnt do it daily. Lets hope I dont croak, LOL ;-(

Yeah I didnt realise you had to take over 200mg for this to happen, in that case 50-100mg should be safe. Anyone know where you can get it, tesco and Asda seem to shy away from B6 and only have multi vitamine
Just a guess but maybe you can get them from your chemist or at Holland and Barratt
200mg a day is safe but anything over that can cause side effects. U can buy 100 100mg b6 tablets at Holland + Barrett at a reasonable price cause thats where i buy them.

I think 100mg would be enough. Im not sure why the bottle I picked had 200mg. I'd probably go back down to 100mg next bottle. It should be plenty. If you really want to get you mind "sparking" take it later in the morning when the ol brain will be more active in the later REM periods. I usually take them about 2-3AM.
Any dose of B6 above 50mg will result in a risk of nerv damage (From what I've read).

I picked up a bottle of vegetarian gelatine-free tabs at my local grocery coop. But any even half-decent drug store, health food store, or whole foods store would probably have some.
I bought at bottle of 100, 100mg tabs of b-6 at my grocery store. Believe it was Lowes foods.
Ok, something's wrong here. This morning I bought a B6 vitamin box, with 20x300mg pills. On the box it says to take two per day. Now I read this thread and you're saying that 200mg is likely to have serious side effects. Maybe spanish people can take it?
Its been a debated subject all over the web. Although allot of the speak is that it's possible to cause some side effects. I think if your testing for lucid a couple of times a week you should be fine. I wouldnt take 400mg everyday, I doubt it seriously.Quote:
