My experience with Vitamin B6 and Melatonin

Last week I bought 1 Bottle of 3mg Melatonin and 1 bottle of 100mg B6. My first night I tried both of them at once about 30min before bedtime.

-Fell asleep FAST, BUT I think the 100mg of B6 kept my mind so active I was waking up every other hour that night.

On the third night I tried just taking the Melatonin. I slept the entire night perfectly fine, and had a few dreams. Pretty much my normal sleep.

On the fifth night (last night) I tried taking just the 100mg of B6 and yep same thing It kept my mind so active I could hardly sleep. But my dreams were alot more vivid, but slightly harder to recall.

After tomorrow I'm going to try cutting the B6 in half and see how that turns out. It seems like I'm just a natural light sleeper, because of the effects I get after taking 100mg of B6.

NOTE: I tried both water and milk while digesting the supplements and there was no difference whatsoever. I'm also using normal forms, not subliminal or timed release.

      Wish me luck.

i take B6 and Choline, and i can't sleep a wink if i take it too early. the B6 is timed release. if i do manage to go to sleep the vividness of the dream is definitely improved, but if i wake up in the middle of the night then i can't go back to sleep.

      good luck!

*edit i only take them once or twice a week.

I have trouble getting to sleep at all on B6, falling asleep is hard for me anyways though

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

I've been taking b6 in combination with other supplements for a while now. My most memorable night of Lucid Dreaming occurred while under the influence of b6 and Lecithin, which is an acetylcholine precursor. Had six Lucids in one night! The Lecithin and b6 combo doesn't deliver results like that all the time, but more often than not I do remember multiple Dreams after awakening when I use this combo.

My other combo is taking two pills that are mixed Galantamine/choline along with one b6 pill. This was producing an insane amount of dreaming for me. I would get roughly 5 hours of sleep and wake up about 9 here, stay awake for an hour or two and then take the three pills together. For the next three hours I was in a mix of Dreams and false awakenings that would make anyone take notice. Dreams so realistic and long lasting that I could swear they were actual memories. Many false awakenings though, kinda tripped me out. Now when I take this combo, I'm almost certainly going to have a Lucid Dream.

B6 has worked enough for me that I take one before bed every other night or day, no matter what the supplement that accompanies it.

In it, saw people I've never seen
      Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.
