Everyones different, its best to experiment and see what works for you. Though I wouldn't exceed the recommended with the b6 or melatonin.
Personally I've taken valerian in many forms and doses and its just too subtle to effect me at all. I was just reading a thread where someone got nerve damage from synthetic b6, i think synthetic dietary nutrients are typically useless or dangerous. If you get your levels tested by a physician and are deficient in something, then they can help you determine an appropriate course of action to reverse the deficiency, which may include taking a synthetic nutrient, other than that I don't feel the need to tweak with it. Excess amounts of melatonin are linked to several disorders. It has been proven to have low toxicity, but theres more risks involved when you are tweaking with a hormone. I'm not saying don't experiment with these things, just stay cautious.
