      Lucidity soundtracks keep me awake

I don;t just mean the lucid MP3s here, I mean meditation and lucidity induction tapes in general. Especially the ones meant to be played as you go to sleep. It relaxes me, but it also makes me more alert, especially the ones with sub-audible vocals. (as a side note, I tried the other night listening to a tape and switching it off after a few hours of being unable to fall asleep. I stayed awake for a couple more hours, got up to use the restroom and get a drink, wnt back to bed, and had my most vivid dream in a long time. I can;t, however, afford to lose this much sleep, espoecially right before finals.) Does anyone else have this problem, and could they eventually figure out a way to utilize such soundtracks?

Finding the right volume is pretty important. And the headphones or whatever your wearing need to feel as comfortable as possible, basically you shouldnt feel them at all.

But yeah, I found it easier to fall asleep listening to the music I normally listen to (just happens to be chill anyways) than to fall asleep listening to that other stuff

I don;t even use headphones, I use the speaker on my computer, phone, etc. dependign on what room I;m in. (It;s a chocolate 8550, if the speaker quality makes any diffeence, but the computer speakers are pretty good and they seem to keep me awake.)

The odd thing is that I get sleepier, but my mind is more awake, and keeps me awake (the one I uised most often is the Lucidity 2.0, as it doesn;t annoy me other than 2 minutes halfway through the hour). Is this because I'm not yet skilled at falling asleep while keeping my mind awake?
