I don't get what this has to do with lucid dreaming?

I don't really know if extracting it is a good idea. But with creativity and powder form you could go somewhere. It could be good mixed in with chocolate cake. The powder.

Passion Flower is a Vision Herb only. Visions = Like LD's. Research on erowid what would be a healthy dose. Apparently the tea is really disgusting. Smoking the dried leaves is pleasant. It takes allot to smoke about 5 big hooters to get "ok" visions when I closed my eyes.

If you get the right dosage right and have lucid dreams regularly. Take a dose of passion flower then take a sleeping pill and enjoy your lucid dream.

If it doesn't work out which it should then use calea zakachichi (dream herb) and do such experiments aswell. Good luck!

More like enjoy a trip to the hospital.

Passion flower contains dangerous MAOIs, but the OTC extracts are nearly always standardized for the flavinoids, rather than the MAOIS, so there is little to no danger of interaction.

If you make the extract yourself, unless you are a pro chemist, it is going to contain the MAOIs, and you are going to get sick if you do not follow a special diet and avoid nearly every other drug.

They contain a VERY VERY tiny amount of MAOI's. When I was on actual MAOI anti-depresants the doctor told me "There was something important I ahd to tell you.... oh well" LMAO

Anyway I found out they interact with certain foods containing tryamine, tryptophan etc for ever lol
Here's an outline of what one site says

• Cheeses-including cheese spreads and sauces.
• Meat and yeast extracts such as Vegemite, Marmite, Promite and Bonox.
• Smoked or fermented meats or fish.
• Some alcoholic beverages

I probably had all that stuff while I was taking them and absolutely nothing happened. I think it's only some cases where it COULD happen and with the low amount of MAOI's in Passiflora I doubt it would. However it is definately something to be concerned about sicne it seems to interact with so many things.

In other words I spose you're right and I don't know why I made this post lol and I'll just add that it's definately not worth it for a lucid!

I agree. I think the extract would need to be extremely concentrated in order to have enough maoi to be really dangerous, but even with small amounts there is a slight risk of toxicity/side effect/interaction.
