      Making a lucid dreaming mask

I have recently found this on one of my favorite websites
      http://www.instructables.com/id/The-...Dream-Machine/
I don't know what a lot of it is, because it has a lot of code, but it does in fact work like a lot of the lucid dreaming masks that they no longer sell.
I have already promoted Dreamviews there, but I was wondering if we should maybe branch out into more lucid dreaming " instructables " and maybe even a group. Just my thoughts.

This isn't really like the Novadreamer. It makes no attempt to detect whether you are actually dreaming. All it does is set a timer to when you might be dreaming and flash lights. Might be of some use.

The Novadreamer uses an Infrared motion detector tells if your eyes were actually moving. This was combined with delay timers to let you get to sleep without setting it off.

Even the Novadreamer can be a bit hit or miss, either waking you up or not entering your dreams at all. I ended up giving mine to my son. He didn't have much luck with it either.

The problem with external cues is that the sleeping brain is disconnected from waking memory/environment and the light is just a light going off in the dream. I tried this kind of light cue from my own set-up and recognized that it's my light that went off in the dream but no memory linking to it. So in the dream I wait for the light to stop and continue whatever I was doing in the dream..sigh...
