Calea Extract - dont take too much!!!
I'm afraid I can be a bit excessive.......
I took delivery of some calea extract before the weekend. The recommended dosage is 5-10 drops.
As I read somewhere that Calea can give you a nice buzz I took 20 during the afternoon while watching some DVDs. I did indeed get a nice spacey kind of buzz out of it.
That night I tried WBTB with it. I took 15 drops plus some galantamine, Alpha GPC and Theanine and a nicotine patch - plus some valerian to get me back to sleep. Could not get back to sleep at all! I wasnt sure if this was the calea or galantamine or both.
Saturday night I took 14 drops of Calea before bed AND put another 10 drops on a cigarette. I normally have one or two memorable dreams before my alarm goes off for WBTB - and wanted to see if Calea would affect these if taken before bed. After the cigarette and drinking the 14 drops in a shot of milk and sugar I went to bed with a nice spacey buzz. Could not Sleep AT ALL. This wasnt bad in some ways as its a pleasant enough buzz. I finally drifted off after 3 or so hours - and slept a very light sleep full of "dreamlets" which were odd and very short in duration - but vivid and strange enough to wake me up each time. Eventually fell into a deepler sleep and woke up at 10am with little recall other than it had been a very odd and long night.
It would seem that Calea extract doses need to be small and taken only at WBTB and not mixed with anything else that make it hard to get back to sleep.
