Steve Reich
I haven't seen much about Steve Reich on this site, so I just wanted to introduce a few of his works that I think would perhaps aid in WILD -- they provide something smooth and repetitive to faintly amuse an otherwise bored mind.
This music is also great for use while working etc.
If anyone wants samples, or possibly even entire copies, I can provide.
Music for 18 Musicians: 50+ min by Steve Reich & Musicians (ECM)
The ECM recording is far superior, IMO, to other recordings out there (even the one on stevereich.com, for some reason), at least for dreaming purposes. It's smoother and a bit more finely done. The videos on Youtube certainly don't do this song justice.
Six Marimbas: 15+ min
Not sure exactly which recording this is, I don't have the case with me.
Six Pianos is identical to this piece but written for pianos instead. It's not quite as smooth, but could also work.
Variations for Winds, Strings, and Keyboards: 20+ min San Francisco Symphony Orchestra
Four Organs: 15+ min
Not quite as subtle as some of the others.
Drumming I-IV: 50+ min total (Phases/Nonesuch Retrospective)
The last 2 movements are a little more intense than the first two. Will definitely keep your mind awake.
Piano Phase: 20+ min
Don't necessarily trust the videos you find on Youtube when it comes to Steve Reich. There are usually better recordings available (plus, audio quality on Youtube probably is relatively low)
Hope someone finds this helpful.
