Does it matter?...:?
I see, thanks for your constructive answer that held a lot of information [/sarcasm]
Sorry, wasn't trying to be rude. :(
Some would argue that there is a benefit when you eat certain things before bed, but in general, I find that whether or not I go to bed on a full stomach, my dreams, recall, etc. are the same. Perhaps it is better if you have a fuller stomach, because the body is more comfortable?
I hope that's a little more helpful :D
Okay thanks, it's just that when I go to bed with a full stomach my dreams are always super crazy and nonsense... especially if it's full of hamburger xD
don't dis lucid aids, some of us can't help it :(
anyway, usually if I go to bed with a full belly, I get to sleep better, but I've never really noticed a difference. Well, aside from waking up in the middle of the night to get a snack :D but other than that...No difference for me!
Vitamin b, specifically b12 is thought to increase vividness and recall. Cheese and milk are good for this.
Hey i'm not " dissin' " lucid aids!
Just saying that heavy food at night does weird thing with my mind :banana::banana:
But I was just dissin' my "late night hamburgers", that's all ;)
(Well since I only had one LD yet, which lasted approximately 2 or 3 seconds, I cannot really form an opinion about specific foods or vitamins boosting LD vividness or recall... ごめんなさい!)
Cheers,
Will.
When you eat, your body starts to digest - this makes a lot of blood to go to your stomach. How do you feel yourself at school or at work after a big meal? This means that your brain is not a priority no 1 at that point.
On the other hand, during sleep our digestion is not working too well neither. But I don't have too accurate knowledge about it specifically.
My suggestion: Totally empty stomach makes you nervous for food - distracts your attention. Really full stomach takes a notable part of your resorces away from your brain. Avarage would be fine :)
One of the dream yoga teachers I met said that eating before sleep makes you have more nightmares. I haven't noticed anything like that on myself, but I think you are more occupied with bodily functions rather than feeling the weightless body and dreaming of a bright future.
I tried this last night, eating very little before bed that is, and I had a really hard time WILDing later in the night...ugh! However, I remembered a large number of my dreams last night, so:
1) Has a negative effect on WILD's and perhaps LDing in general
2) Has little to no effect on dream recall...
(And I do realize that one night is not enough to establish this, and it may just be me but, it's what I experienced).
Having a full stomach will make you sleepy, more blood is required to digest the food, so it pulls blood away from your brain, making you sleepy. :)
Ahaaa!! okay kewl...
