Before you go to sleep, make sure you are going to be comfortable. The goal of this is to focus on physical comfort, so you can have the most peaceful experience.

About half an hour before bed, start taking full deep breaths, all the way in, and all the way out.

Brush your teeth with a non-fluoride (fluoride is poisonous, research it yourself) toothpaste, and floss so you won't wake up with bad breath in the middle of the night.

Shower or wash your face.

Drink water until you are not thirsty.

Do not eat within four hours or so of bed if you can help it. If you need to eat before sleep, avoid things that are spicy, greasy, and loads of meat, or anything else which can cause indigestion or acid reflux.

Keep a glass of water on your nightstand.

Use earplugs, soft foamy ones are good, if you live in a noisy place.

Use a sleep mask for naps, and if you are going to be sleeping when the sun is out.

If you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee, don't turn on any lights which shocks your system.

Wash your bedding once a week or more.

Make sure you have the right amount of bedding for the temperature.

Wear the most comfortable clothes or nothing if that's most comfortable for you.

Sweet dreams, dreamer.
