DEILD alarm?
Wow, I haven't posted here in a while. Anyhoo, I've been looking around and trying to find an alarm that I can use to help DEILD. It would have to only ring for about 3 seconds, so I can wake up and promptly enter a DEILD. I have looked everywhere, and have found nothing. Can anyone help?

Hmm, do you not wake up during the night?
It would be hard to time that just right, because you would need to have it wake up you while you are dreaming. DEILD works best if you can wake up natrually from a dream, and then fall back asleep, re-entering it (so it's great on days you can sleep in). You can do a WBTB where you wake at a set time, but in that case it will be more like a WILD than a DEILD.
Can you describe in more detail how your sleep schedule is? Do you wake up at night naturally at all? What about when you wake up, and then go back to sleep on weekends (or whenever you can sleep in, if you can)?

I really know how often I wake up in the night, but I think I only do rarely. I know, however, that I usually am dreaming at about 5:00 AM-6:00 AM, and these dreams tend to be the clearest for me. I usually go to bed at about 9:30, and I'm usually asleep by 10:15. On weekends I can sleep in from 7:00-9:00, but on weekdays I wake up at 6:20. Does this help?

I am guessing you are looking for a computer based alarm. I suggest going here and giving your e-mail and name. (The name doesn't have to be real, but the e-mail does.) You'll get an e-mail with a timer in it. You can set how often it goes off, and how long it goes off for. It seems like a good idea for DEILD.
Good luck!

Thanks! I will try this, however, any thing not computer based would be better. I will see if I can try that though!

Oh. Hmm.... Sorry, that's all that I can think of that rings for only three seconds.

Actually, this is the best method I have heard of for doing this, so I will try it. Thanks a bunch!
Edit: Just tried the link... and it led me to the tutorials section of DreamViews. Wrong adress?
