      Autosuggestion/affirmations

Just curious, how many lucid dreamers here have found autosuggestion/affirmations to be a useful aid for improving the occurrence of lucid dreams/level of lucidity? If you have, what are your favorite ones to use?

Also, apologies if there's already a thread, I looked through the most recent posts and didn't see one about this, but I could have missed it.

I find them useful, my first first LD was due to auto suggestion.

I use affirmations or whatever & really find them helpful. I would suggest you write your own. I have tried to use others and they really haven't been effective. I would suggest writing or using one that a) that is fun to read, write & think about & b) that is simple enough that a child would understand. This does not necessarily mean short.

One of my affirmations is: I welcome consistently & easily traveling in & out of hi level lucid dreams & conscious sleep while awake & alert at will so that I can share my joy with all those that choose it.

I find them extremely useful. I have never remembered my dreams before I started getting into LDing. I learned about AutoSuggestion and gave it a whirl. The first night of saying "I will remember my dreams." until I fell asleep. I remembered three dreams that night. I've used AutoSuggestion and remembered nine dreams in one night. So use it! It's valuable! =)

Same here. I've noticed common underlying factor from the times that I've been successful with lucid dreaming is the fact that I had kept up consistent RCing along with autosuggestion.

I've used "I will wake up after 6 hours of sleep" to wake up for a WILD, and I *always* wake up.

      It works, try it!
