      Making Waves

I have been using a software called Brainwave Generator for the last year or so to attain waking lucid states and to intensify the lucid dreaming experience. It produces tones and bineural beats in headphones that can produce powerful alteration of consciousness (just be careful not to fall asleep with it running, it's confusing to wake up to it!) I browse through the archived user presets to find some of the most bizarre ones, but there are simple default settings that work just as well. Enjoy!

I just found it. It sounds great. =)

Question for anyone though, in the FAQ, it says

"Question: Do I have to use stereo headphones?
Answer: Yes. The whole idea of BrainWave Generator and binaural beats is based on being able to hear different tones in different ears. This effect cannot be attained with loudspeakers"
I don't plan on using speakers, but earphones. The kind that go in your ears but not around your head.

      Will that still work ?

Those inner ear headphones work best for me, so you should be ready to go!

(Also, I've just noticed that the download includes 20 or so presets that work just great, but the user preset downloads that I mentioned don't work in this shareware version.)

The best technique I've found is to sit cross-legged in bed listening to one of the 'Meditation' presets for about 10 minutes (keep the volume low, or it can get distracting/annoying). After this, if I haven't gotten to a near-sleep state yet, I listen to 'Sleep Induction 1'. As soon as I feel the drop-off nearing, I stop the sound and remove the headphones. This has repeatedly greatly effected the sharpness of my lucidity, and helped with recall.

      Hope this helps!

This is basically just the well-known technique of using Binaural Beats to LD, isn't it?
