Maybe this is a good idea...

Could this be a good idea, i heard that people fall asleep with there music on and could hear it...in there dreams. If you could record on your ipod ''your dreaming, your dreaming'' for ever maybe that will make you aware in your dream? Is this possible, or will you just ignore it, in your dream? Someone needs to try this!

It's been done before, by Stephen LaBerge himself in fact. It proved to be incredibly UNreliable, because either the dreamer wouldn't recognize it/wouldn't understand it, wouldn't hear it in the dream, or would be woken up from it. I've considered using it, but after reading about LaBerge's experiment using sound as an induction aid, I found that it's more practical and reliable to just stick with a usual induction method. As far as I'm concerned they're there for a reason - because they work. This could work, just not as effectively.

It didnt work . There was this little man with a coconut on his head and he was saying
"You are eating! You are eating"
Guess my sub-c converted 'dreaming' to 'eating' .

I hear the music in my dreams often from my alarm, I actually was drinking with the Black Eyed Peas one morning at the end of my Lucid, but it never helps me attain lucidity. When I woke up I realized their song was on the radio ^.^

Music effects dreams but it's never helped me become lucid. I just imagine it as music in relation to the dream.

I'm new here and I've just been lurking for a while, but I've decided I've actually got something to contribute to this thread.

I regularly fall asleep on the sofa in front of the TV on purpose, because I can still hear the television and it gives me really vivid, lucid dreams. I'm aware that it's the television, and I'm aware I'm dreaming, but the dream I have is way more interesting than the programme.

I know this thread is about music, but I just thought that I'd share that because it's a similar thing, I'll tell you about a couple of dreams I remember if anyone is interested. =]

Your mind does incorporate noise from your environment into dreams pretty often, but that doesn't mean it will do so accurately or that it will make you lucid. This tech seems like it would disrupt sleep more than it would raise lucidity.
The burden of proof lies with the one making the claim

      Look at my reflection [X]
