Thread: Drugs that interfere with dream recall and lucid dreaming?

I have two mental illnesses and take medications for them both. For the bipoloar I take Lithium, two pills twice a day, though I usually forget two pills, Geodon 60 mg, and Sapphris 5 mg. For my anxiety disorder I take Valium 5 mg. The Geodon, Sapphris and Valium all have drowsiness side effects, though I go to sleep before feeling them, they keep me asleep longer.



Do you think they could be interfering with my dream recall and ability to lucid? I find I can barely remember 2 - 3 dreams a night now, and lucid rarely. I managed about 9 once when I slept 20 hours though. I used to be able to remember about 7- 8 dreams in an 8 hour period but I fell out of habit of remembering them so it could be that.



I heard melatonin is good for luciding I think, should I try that?
