Lack of freedom in an LD

Last night I had my fifth lucid dream.
Like all my lucids since dreamviews, it was a false awakening, autosuggestion sort of induced LD. I remembered to stabalise it this time and I tested the light switch thing, but one thing I find in my lucids is that I have a lack of power.

Last night I false awakened in my bed and looked out my window to and saw a war happening on the golf course below (we live in apartments). I wanted to make daises fall from the sky for some reason, but after a few of attempts of nothing happening, I gave up.
This is sort of similar to a lucid where I tried to summon an artist Jonas Bjerre. He did not show. And I know theres a trick to summoning and it is not always instant, but these daisies should have been pretty simple right?

Is there a trick using sort of powers and such in lucid dreams. Anything can happen right? So why can I only walk around and interact and observe the dream already playing for me?
Whats the trick to getting things your way?

Feel free to post a link to another thread or tutorial my way. But to discuss this would be good.

Dream control can be a tricky thing. It's all about expectation.

The human brain works with effect and cause, therefore it may not be easy for novice lucid dreamers (or more experienced lucid dreamers for that matter) to just make things appear right in front of them.

A good way to take use of the effect and cause thingy is to do things indirectly. If you want to summon someone, don't expect them to appear right in front of you, walk through a door expecting to find them there, this always works for me. If you want to throw fireballs out of your hands, put on a pair of magic gloves, or grab a magic wand. I think you get the idea.

I've heard of that method before. I must remember to try it when my next lucid opportunity happens. My hands just aren't magic enough! Thanks for reminding be bout that.
